we are here to present our research titled, 'Influence of Artificial Intelligence on the Academic
Performance: A Study on Learning Efficiency and Educational Outcomes of Grade 10 Students at Daniel
B. Pena Memorial College Foundation.”'

so for the introduction. Nowadays, AI technology has significantly improved in various fields, including
education, and has shown substantial application advantages in classroom management. However,
concerns have been raised about its potential impact on learning efficiency and educational outcomes,
such as reduced critical thinking, procrastination, plagiarism, and reduced human engagement.

In the Philippines, AI is a relatively new idea, with little restrictions, regulations, and guidelines for using
it appropriately and ethically in academic settings. Estrellado (2023) noted that while AI in education in
the Philippines has enormous potential and offerings to improve the learning experience, there is still a
vacuum in the existing knowledge about AI usage in the education sector.

is still empty or unfilled, or that something is isolated from outside influences. There’s still a gap or lack
of information, research, or understanding about a particular topic or issue in Artificial intelligence in
education field.

Lastly, What challenges or limitations do students face when using Artificial Intelligence tools into their
academic performances?

In Scope and Delimitation, it defines the boundaries of the study

• Population: grade 10th students at Daniel B. Peña Memorial College Foundation, who have 19 males
and 10 females in academic year 2024-2025.

• Objective: to assesses the influence of artificial intelligence on academic performance of grade 10th
student at DBPMCF

• Scope: Focuses on learning efficiency and educational outcome on grade 10th student at DBPMCF

• Exclusion: it excludes senior high department, elementary level, college department, and other
students from other school

• Limitations: does not cover other technology features and other academic matters example in exam.

‘SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY’

In today’s rapidly evolving world, the role of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has
become increasingly significant across various domain. Especially in educational field - Generally, in
education field it highlights the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing learning
efficiency and educational outcomes, offering valuable insights for educators to optimize teaching
strategies. It underscores the importance of integrating AI tools into the curriculum to prepare students
for future academic and professional challenges

And specifically, - for students, it will benefit from personalized learning experiences tailored to their
strengths and weaknesses, which can lead to improved understanding and retention of material. AI can
provide interactive and engaging learning environments, increasing students' motivation to learn and
participate actively in their education.

First – ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - A capacity of a computer, robot, programmed device, or software

application to perform operations and tasks analogous to learning and decision making in humans, such
as speech recognition or question answering.

Technology - a branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their
interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts,
engineering, applied science, and pure science.

Impact - A strong effect or influence that something has on a situation or person.

phone, tablet, or watch.

Chatbots- A computer program designed to respond with conversational or informational replies to

Education - act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of
reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work, and professionals in the Philippines are no
exception. AI may be used to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and provide insights to assist
professionals improve their skills and become more productive. Aside from these specific benefits, AI
can help students in the Philippines in a broader sense. Overall, AI has the potential to dramatically alter
how students interact in the Philippines. By automating procedures, improving decision-making, and
providing insights, AI may help workers become more productive, creative, and effective. (Gomez,
2023).

According to the study of Martinez (2023) Artificial intelligence (AI) and computational sciences are
causing an increased interest in education. Despite its short past, AI is rapidly being integrated into the
classroom in many forms with the goal of improving student achievement. Thus, the goal of the study is
to objectively and qualitatively examine the impact of AI components and computational sciences on
student performance.

LOCAL

The study of Banatao (2024) seeks to investigate students' impressions of the integration of artificial
intelligence (AI) into educational environments, as well as the impact on learning results. Despite their
limited exposure to AI-driven tools, students believe they have the potential for individualized learning
experiences and adaptive feedback

The study addresses a gap in the literature by focusing on the influence of artificial intelligence on
students’ academic performance at Daniel B. Peña Memorial College Foundation (DBPMCF). In our
school, we are the only one who have conducted this research. Our ultimate goal, by focusing
exclusively on our school, and to assist students in using artificial intelligence appropriately and provide
guidance on how it will impact their academic performance. The project seeks to greatly assist Daniel B.
Peña Memorial College Foundation Grade 10th students on how to utilize artificial intelligence in an
appropriate way.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK – MR. AQUINO

To better understand the influence of Artificial Intelligence on the academic performance of Grade 10
students at DBPMCF, it is essential to ground this study in a solid theoretical framework. This framework
draws upon several established educational theories and models that highlight the relationship between
technology and students.

Fred Davis (1989) proposed the Technology Acceptance Model theory, which describes how individuals
learn to accept and use technology. Provides a useful perspective for evaluating how artificial
intelligence can affect Grade 10 students' academic performance, learning efficiency, and educational
outcomes.

Constructivism Theory, proposed by Jean Piaget (1973), underscores the idea that learners actively
construct their own understanding and knowledge of the world through experiences and reflection

By applying these theories, Students’ construct their own knowledge from their own experience using
artificial intelligence and technology interaction. Students adapt what trends or current in now reality.

Chapter 3 of this study delves into the methodology behind examining the influence of Artificial
Intelligence on the academic performance of Grade 10 students at DBPMCF. This chapter outlines the
research design, data collection methods, and analytical approaches used to investigate how AI affects
learning efficiency and educational outcomes.

In order to effectively explore the influence of Artificial Intelligence on the academic performance of
Grade 10 students at DBPMCF - Qualitative descriptive research method is chosen in this study so the
researcher can capture the perspective of grade 10th students and delve deep into the context of their
experiences about using Artificial Intelligence in their academic performances. This study aims to
investigate how grade 10th student engage, and the various ways that Artificial Intelligence may
influence academic performance, considering their engagement, motivation, attitude, learning
efficiency, and educational outcome that contribute to the phenomena.

The study was conducted by the researchers at Daniel B. Peña Memorial College Foundation, located at
San Juan, Tabaco City Albay. The respondents in this study are Grade 10th students. The primary data of
this study will be 10 Male and 10 Female that will be selected randomly, a total of 20 students for our
survey. Secondary data include articles, books, journals and the internet. The researchers believe that
these participants would be enough to provide sufficient and essential information to answer the
questionnaire raised in this study

To effectively measure and analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the academic performance of
Grade 10 students at DBPMCF, this study utilizes a Likert scale as its primary research instrument.

The first part of the likert scale questionnaire includes Demographic Profile such as age, gender, and
grade level. Second part of the questionnaire are the tables that Typically consisting of a series of
statements rated on a symmetrical scale, respondents indicate their level of agreement or
disagreement, with options ranging from ‘strongly Disagree’ to ‘strongly agree’. These statement were
arranged in the correct order and weighted accordingly. All the question found in the questionnaire
were objective type of test. All collected data will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for
research purposes, ensuring the privacy and security of participants.

The researchers created a questionnaire covering all the variables mentioned in the statement of the
problem. Then present it to the research adviser for approval before producing copies of the
questionnaire intended for the respondent to answer. Collecting data started by creating a formal letter
to the Principal of the school and 20 respondents, asking permission to conduct a survey question. After
accepting the letter, the researchers will distribute the questionnaire to the concerned respondents.
After obtaining the necessary ethical approval and informed consent from participants. All collected
data will be securely stored and prepared for analysis. The data gathering process will be conducted in a
manner that ensures the confidentiality and anonymity of all participants.

Statistical treatments were tools used to analyze the computations in this study better. These statistical
measures were based on making interpretations, conclusions, and generalizations. The Statistical tools
used in this study were frequency, percentage, weighted and mean.

- Constructivism jean piaget – 1873 - is a learning theory that suggests that people construct their own
knowledge through experiences of reality which is the reality now is we are under the technology era
and social (technology – or internet which a kind of community that providing a variety of information
and communication facilities,) interaction, -
