My Notes
- kids choose friends based off being around them, their parents, same classes
- adolescents and later ages pick friends based off more than just those factors,
adding things like similar interests or values
- people under the influence of drugs will say and do things they wouldn't normally do
- perfectionist parents become authoritative. they are inflexible with changes and put
strain on their kids to meet their hard expectations
- closed communication breaks families because they do not know what is happening
in each others life and leads to dysfunction
- bullying is when one person has more power and is abusing it many times over
- bullies often have low self-esteem

house and in order for me to come back we had to have a very deep and meaningful
discussion on how they were going to be less perfectionist and authoritative

have the same sense of humor and we can make jokes and have fun at one moment

being able to refuse even when you are scared to do so is important because you do
not want to put yourself in the position where you are letting yourself be abused and
therefore putting yourself in the position where you have trauma.

Pornography
1. Explain the harmful effects of pornography as a form of addiction.
it sets unrealistic expectations for whta you expect other people to do. sexually
intimate people have bonding chemicals in their brain which lead to a sexual and
emotional bond. pornography leads to these chemicals not functioning properly and
making it difficult to emotionally bond with a partner
