INTRAMS 2023 - DANCESPORTS COMPETITION (EMCEE SCRIPT)

INTRODUCTION

ELOISA: Ladies and gentlemen,

BOTH: WELCOME TO THE SECOND DAY OF OUR INTRAMURALS 2023!

EDWIN: For this two-day activity, we all witnessed the innate sports skill of our students.
I know some of you here practiced under the sun, trying to perfect your style and
techniques in winning the game.

ELOISA: Players and participants you all proved to us that we, CNHSians are
truly the best! Now, WE ARE ALL HERE EXPLORING
BOUNDLESS HORIZONS: UNLEASHING POTENTIALS THROUGH
SPORTS

EDWIN: Let us all enjoy ourselves from the performances of our four lovely couples for
the Mr. And Ms. Intrams 2023 and four flexible and skilled pairs in every
DanceSport category, representing their teams.

ELOISA: Now, everybody is excited about the program, right? They’re probably crossing
their fingers about who is winning. Well, can we hear a short yell from every
team, from Candid Yellow!

EDWIN: How about Amicable Green!

ELOISA: Let us hear from Dauntless Red!,

EDWIN: Last but not the least from Erudite Blue!

ELOISA: It’s clear to see that everybody is excited for the program! However, let’s not
prolong the agony of waiting.

PRAYER & MAKABAYAN SONG

EDWIN: At this juncture, we would like to request everybody to stand for the prayer to
be led us by Zeo Amare F. Sanchez, MAPEH Club President and the singing of
Makabayan Song through an audio-visual presentation.

WELCOME REMARKS

ELOISA: You may now take your seat. Now, to formally welcome us in this afternoon’s
event, Let us all welcome the responsible, dedicated and highly-intelligent
Math-Sci Department Head, Dr. Lani P. Gatchalian,

INTRODUCTION OF THE BOARD OF JUDGES

EDWIN: Thank you so much, Ma’am, for that heart-warming welcome address.

To help us decide who among our candidates deserve to the next Mr. and Ms.
INTRAMS 2023, and who among our lovely pairs deserve to win the
showdown in the different Dance Sports competition, here is the panel of
judges. To introduce them to us, let us have Sir John Carlo P. Supnet, JHS faculty
member.

Let us give him a warm round of applause!

ELOISA: So, there you have it! competitions should always have a set of expert judges to
do the decision and choose who will be the best among the best.

And of course in any competition, there should always be standards or criteria


in which judgement should be based. And now, may we call on Sir Mark Jordan
M. Julaton, JHS Faculty member to do the reading of guidelines and criteria.

Let is give him a big round of applause!

EDWIN: SO ARE YOU NOW EXCITED?

At the end of this competition, two deserving candidates will be crowned as Mr.
And Ms. Intrams 2023. Let us not keep the crowd waiting.

BOTH: WELCOME TO OUR MUCH AWAITED, THE SEARCH FOR MR. & MS.
INTRAMS 2023 AND DANCESPORT COMPETITION

A. PRODUCTION NUMBER

ELOISA: Now, let ‘s give it up, ladies and gentlemen, for our lovely and handsome Mr.
and Ms. INTRAMS candidates in their production number.

EDWIN: Wow! Did I just saw the crowd gone wild and hype? Seeing our 8 lovely and
handsome candidates in their Production Number made our hearts skip for a
little. They all look spectacular in their different Team Color’s attire.

ELOISA: Yes. This is indeed one big spectacular afternoon for all of us for we have
witnessed the stunning beauties of our candidates and have been amazed with
their irresistible charm and poise on stage.

EDWIN: Are you guys excited to see more of our candidates? let’s prolong excitement
by witnessing how CNHSians are so talented in line with dancing.

Dancesport Competition is one of the highlights of this year’s Intramurals.


Dancesport offers unique advantages. It is not only a rhythmical exercise that
adds life, graceful muscular movements but it is also a group recreation. A girl
who has learned to be a good ballroom dancer never fades into a wall flower. A
boy who can dance is spared from many agonies of a teenage self-
consciousness. Learners who dance well are popular, ones instilled , those
ingredients of a good manners are never forgotten. Thus, dancesport offers more
than mere steps, it includes charm of manners and consideration of other.

ELOISA: This year, we want to return to the basics of rhythmic sports to instil discipline
in creative and artistic ways. Moreover, the two categories of dance sport
competition are Latin American Dance and Modern Standard Dance. The Latin
American Dance is composed of two showdowns, the Chachacha and Rumba
while the Modern Standard is composed of Waltz and Tango.

B. LATIN AMERICAN

EDWIN: To start the competition, let us first have the Latin American. Are you guys
ready? THE CHACHACHA DANCE SHOWDOWN!

For the information of everyone, cha-cha-cha is a fun, flirtatious dance with


playful energy. It's a blend of other Latin dances, especially mambo and rumba.
In time cha-cha-cha evolved into a separate dance and the name was shortened
to the cha-cha.

C. MODERN STANDARD

ELOISA: What a spectacular performance from our Latin American - Chachacha


performers. Let’s give them a roaring applause!

Now, let us also embrace ourselves to witness the Modern Standard - WALTZ
DANCE SHOWDOWN!

The Waltz is a smooth dance that travels around the line of dance. Characterized
by its “rise and fall” action, the Waltz includes a step, slide, and step in 3/4
time. Dancers should move their shoulders smoothly, parallel with the floor instead of
up and down. Dancers must strive to lengthen each step.

D. SPORTSWEAR COMPETITION

EDWIN: Alright! There you have it! Our performers really did great in their
performances. Let us give them round of applause!

Sports has always been the backbone of every School’s Intramurals. Meaning to
say Intramurals will not be complete without various sports events.

ELOISA: Does that also mean that a competition for Mr. & Ms. Intramurals will not be
complete without the Sports Attire. At this juncture let us find out who among
our candidates will rock their Sporty Attire with edge and attitude!

Let’s give it up for our candidates in their SPORTSWEAR ATTIRE!

EDWIN: Let’s give our candidates a roaring applause for their superb performance in
their sports attire!
Indeed, this contest does not merely focus in the exposition of the physical
beauty but more greatly it is an avenue to hone their self esteem, to showcase
talents and most importantly to promote physical fitness.

E. INTERMISSION NUMBER - CNHS TAEKWONDO CLUB

ELOISA: And with that, to really prove to us that CNHSians are all physically fit, Let us
witness an intermission number from our very own CNHS Taekwondo Club.

F. LATIN AMERICAN

EDWIN: Thank you very much CNHS Taekwondo Club! Let’s give them a warm round
of applause.

Now, let’s get ready to be dazzled as another 8 talented pairs will now showcase
their dance moves and skills, embodying the grace, style, and musical
interpretation of Latin American - RUMBA DANCE SHOWDOWN

Rumba is a form of partnered dance that focuses on hip movements and


footwork danced in time to the beat of rumba music. It is characterized by close
partner work, a still upper body, and slow swaying hips and footwork. The
rumba is slower than some other Latin dances, giving it a more romantic quality.

G. MODERN AMERICAN

ELOISA: Thank you very much to our Rumba Dance performers! Let us give them a big
round of applause!

And now, let us have another dance performance from our Modern American -
TANGO DANCE SHOWDOWN

The tango is known for being a passionate, emotional form of dance in which
the dancing couple hold each other closely and make abrupt — yet graceful —
movements.

H. MR. & MS. INTRAMURALS QUESTION & ANSWER PORTION

EDWIN: An spectacular performance from our Tango Dance Performers. Let’s give them
a big round of applause. CNHS really proves that we have students who are
really talented in dancing. And the tension is mounting as we enter the final
round of the Competition.

time, I’m sure our audience have their respective bets already.

Let us have another intermission number while waiting for the results.
According to many, music is life. therefore, without sound and music, this event
will be boring. To entertain us, let’s give it up to our very own ELATED
BAND in their exhibition number.

J. AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES TO THE JUDGES

EDWIN: At this moment, we would like to extend our gratitude for our dearest judges in
giving their valuable time and effort during our Mr. And Ms. Intrams 2023 and
Dancesport Competition. May I request Dr. Jocelyn M. De Castro, our School
Principal, Sir, Jenny E. Lo, SHS- Assistant School Principal, Dr. Remedios
Bacton and Dr. Lani Gatchalian, our Head Teachers and as well as our Guests
___________________ to give the Certificate of Appreciation and token for the
