 Pacific Ocean-
 It is also the largest and deepest ocean.
 It is filled with ridges known as trenches.
 It has the deepest trench called the marina trench and the deepest point is Challenger deep (11 km
deep) near Phillippes.
 Surrounded by North and South America, and Oceania.
 It is connected with the Arctic Ocean at Bering Strait.
 It is connected with the Atlantic Ocean at Drake Passage.
 It has a Pacific Ring of Fire.
 Atlantic Ocean-
 It is roughly S in shape
 It is the youngest in age.
 It is less than half of the Pacific Ocean.
 Mid-oceanic ridge- Huge mountain range
 Ice land is part of the mid-oceanic ridge.
 Surrounded by North and South America, Europe, and Africa.
 It has the busiest waterways.
 Indian Ocean-
 It is the only ocean to be named after a country and it is the third largest.
 It is not connected with the Arctic Ocean.
 Surrounded by Asia, Africa, and Oceania.
 Arctic Ocean-
 The ocean surrounding the North Pole has no land mass.
 Covered almost through ice.
 It showcases the phenomenon of Arctic amplification.
 The ecosystem includes- polar bears, seals, etc.
 Southern Ocean-
 It has a different ecosystem and stretches to 6 degrees south.
CONTINENTS
 Asia-
 Continents having land borders- Europe and Asia (Ural and Caucasus Mountains).
 Siberia is Asian Russia rich in minerals and energy.
 Land Border between Asia and Africa- Sinai Peninsular in Egypt
 Asia and Oceania- New Guinea
 Mountains- Himalayas, Tibetan
 Water bodies around Asia- Caspian Sea (largest lake), black sea, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Gulf
of Aden, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, and Gulf of Thailand.
 China is surrounded by the East China Sea, the South China Sea, and the Yellow Sea.
 Sea of Japan or East Sea, Bering Sea.
 The highest point in Asia is Mt. Everest in the Great Himalayas.
 The lowest point is the Dead Sea.
 Europe-
 Land border with - Asia, Africa,
 It looks like a Peninsula surrounded by three sides of water.
 Two important mountains Alps and Caucasus.
 Elbrus is the highest peak and the lowest point is the Caspian Sea.
 Water bodies surrounding- Black Sea, Caspian Sea, Sea of Marmara, Aegean Sea, Mediterranean
Sea, Bosphorus strait connects Sea of Marmara and black sea.
 Adriatic Sea, North Sea (best quality Brent crude), Baltic Sea, Norwegian Sea.
