5.2 Introduction
There is no BITS configuration data on the maintenance terminal of the SYNLOCK V3.
After an NE is selected and the data configuration window is displayed, the
maintenance terminal downloads the configuration data from the BITS. In this way, the
data on the maintenance terminal can be consistent with that on the BITS.
You can also query the BITS configuration data through the data configuration window.

5.3 Displaying the Data Configuration Window


I. Description

This operation enables you to display the data configuration window.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
Double click the Data configuration node on the navigation tree to display

the Select NE dialog box.

Select an NE, and click OK to display the Data configuration-Board

5.4 Configuring the Board Data


5.4.1 Configuring the Clock Board in the Slot 0

I. Description

This operation enables you to configure the data of the clock board in the slot 0 in the
main frame.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
In the Data configuration-Board Position Diagram dialog box, right click

the slot 0 in the main frame, and select Add SRCU or Add SOCU.

In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

The new board is displayed in the corresponding slot.

Select the SRCU or SOCU board, right click, and select Configure SRCU or
Configure SOCU (here, take the SRCU board as an example) to display a
dialog box as shown below.

Set the related parameters, and click OK.

5 In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

6 In the prompt dialog box that appears, click OK.


7 Select the configured board, right click and select Load SRCU.
8 In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

IV. Parameter description

Table 5-1 describes the parameters for configuring the SRCU or SOCU board.

Parameter Description
The type of the satellite card. The options are:

Satellite card type z GPS: The GPS satellite card


z GLOGPS: The dual satellite card
z NONE: No satellite card

Parameter Description
The type of the input channel.
Input channel z The signal type for channel 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be E1, 1MHz,
signal type 2048 KHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz or NONE.
z The actual signal type of the satellite input channel is 1PPS
and need not to be configured.
The test template for the input channel.
z For channels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 1PPS signal MTIE/TDEV test
template: Wander tolerance, Wander generation and
Customize. Wander tolerance is recommended.
test template of z For the MITE/TDEV test template of satellite signals 1 and
input channel 2: Customized template for satellite signal and
Customize. Customized template for satellite signal is
recommended.
z For the FREQ test template: Standard and Customize.
Standard is recommended.
Specifies whether to test the signal of the channels. The

5.4.2 Configuring the Clock Board in the Slot 12

I. Description

This operation enables you to configure the data of the clock board in the slot 12 in the
main frame.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
In the Data configuration-Board Position Diagram dialog box, right click

the slot 12 in the main frame, and select Add SRCU or Add SOCU.

In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

The new board is displayed in the corresponding slot.

Step Action
Select the SRCU or SOCU board, right click, and select Configure SRCU or
Configure SOCU (here, take the SOCU board as an example) to display the

Double click the type field, and select the desired type of the satellite card
(here, take GPS as an example) to display a dialog box as shown below.

Set the related parameters, and click OK.


5 It is recommended that to set Visual satellite threshold to 1, and set
Satellite mask angle to 5.
6 In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.
7 In the Configure SOCU dialog box, click OK.
8 In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.
9 In the prompt dialog box that appears, click OK.
10 Select the configured board, right click and select Load SOCU.

5.4.3 Configuring the LCIM Board

I. Description

This operation enables you to configure the LCIM board in the main frame. Two LCIM
boards are recommended.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Note

To configure the test template, note that:


z In the standard template mode, the threshold point and value cannot be modified.
z If the value input does not meet the requirement or is the same as another one,
you must modify the value according to the system prompts.

IV. Procedure

Step Action
In the Data configuration-Board Position Diagram dialog box, right click a

slot from 1–10, and select Add LCIM.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

The new board is displayed in the corresponding slot.

Step Action
Select the LCIM board, right click and select Configure LCIM to display the
Configure LCIM dialog box as shown below.

Double click the drop-down list of the MTIE/TDEV test template of channel,
and select Wander tolerance or Wander generation (here, take the
Wander tolerance as an example) to display a dialog box as shown below.

5 Query the threshold point and threshold value of the template, and click OK.

Step Action
Double click the drop-down list of MTIE/TDEV test template of channel, and
select Customize to display the Customize dialog box as shown below.

Do one as follows to modify the threshold value.


z Click the value and input the desired value directly.
7 z Select a threshold value, and click Modify Threshold Value. In the dialog
box that appears, modify the threshold point and value and then click OK.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.
8 In the Customize dialog box, click OK.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.
The procedure of configuring the FREQ test template is the same as that of
9 configuring the MTIE/TDEV test template. The difference lies in that there are
only Standard template and Customize.

V. Parameter description

Table 5-2 describes the parameters for configuring the LCIM board.

Table 5-2 LCIM board parameter

Parameter Description
The type of the LCIM board. The options are:
z INPUT: The input board
Output mode
z MEASURE: The test board
Here, select INPUT.
It is available after the board type is configured as INPUT. The
Board options are BACKUP and NOBACKUP.
active/standby
BACKUP is recommended.

The type of channel 1–8. The options are E1, 1MHz,


Channel type 2048 KHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz and NONE.
You must select the type according to the actual signal type.
z For all the MTIE/TDEV test template of the channel:
Wander tolerance, Wander generation and Customize.
Test template of Wander tolerance is recommended.
channel z For all the FREQ test template of the channel: Standard
template and Customize. Standard template is
recommended.
Specifies whether to test the signal of the channel. It is

5.4.4 Configuring TSOU Board

I. Description

This operation enables you to configure the TSOU board. Two TSOU boards are
recommended.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
In the Data configuration-Board Position Diagram dialog box, right click a

slot ranging from 1–10, and select Add TSOU.

11 Select the configured board, right click and select Load TSOU.

IV. Parameter description

Table 5-3 describes the parameters for configuring the TSOU board.

Table 5-3 TSOU board parameter

Parameter Description
The type of the TSOU board. The options are:
z 1+1: The active and the standby boards send the signal at

z 1:1: Only the active board sends the signal
1:1 is recommended.

The type of the channel 1–20. The options are E1, 1 MHz,
2048 KHz, 5 MHz and 10 MHz.
Channel type You can set the type as required. You can also set the
channels of the same output board to the same type for a
convenient management.

Specifies whether to block the channel. The options are


Channel blocking ENABLE and DISABLE.
Set the parameter as required.
The name of the channel. It can be configured one by one or

5.4.5 Configuring the CCOU Board

I. Description

This operation enables you to configure the CCOU board. Two CCOU boards are
recommended.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
In the Data configuration-Board Position Diagram dialog box, right click a

slot ranging from 1–10, and select Add CCOU.

In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

Select the CCOU board, right click and select Configure CCOU to display

IV. Parameter description

Table 5-4 describes the parameters for configuring the CCOU board.

Parameter Description
The type of the TSOU board. The options are:
z 1+1: The active and the standby boards send the signal at

5.4.6 Configuring TDRV Board

TDRV boards are recommended.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Note

To configure the expansion frame, note that:


z Up to two expansion frames can be configured on the SYNLOCK V3 BITS.
z Only the TDRV, TSOU and CCOU boards can be configured in the expansion
frame.
z You can directly add the TDRV board to the slot 0 or 12 of the expansion frame
and need no configuration.

IV. Procedure

Step Action

1 In the Data configuration-Board Position Diagram dialog box, click in


the lower left corner to switch to the expansion frame 1.

2 In the pane that appears, right click the slot 0 or 12, and select Add TDRV.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

The new board is displayed in the corresponding slot.

5.5 Configuring the Reference Source


5.5.1 Adding a Reference Source

I. Description

This operation enables you to add a reference source.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
Select Configuration > Reference Source from the main menu to display a
dialog box as shown below.

Note:
z stands for the reference source of the digital signal.
z stands for the reference source of the analog signal
Right click the blank area, and select Add Reference Source to display a
dialog box as shown below.

Step Action
Select the desired reference source, as shown in the following figure, and
click Ok. If you select the PPS or SSR reference source, the system prompts
that no reference source type should be configured.

Note:
z CSSR1 stands for the SSR reference source of the clock board in slot 0.
z CSSR2 stands for the SSR reference source of the clock board in slot 12.
z CSCLK1–CSCLK4 and C1PPS stand for the input reference sources of
the clock board.
z CLCIM1-1–CLCIM1-8 and CLCIM2-1–CLCIM2-8 stand for the input
reference sources of the LCIM board.
4 In the Add Reference Source dialog box, click Ok.

5 In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click Ok.


6 In the prompt dialog box that appears, click Ok.

5.5.2 Configuring Digital Signal Reference Source

I. Description

This operation enables you to configure the reference source of the digital signal.

II. Prerequisite

Before the operation, make sure that:


z The maintenance terminal software is installed.
z You have logged in to the system and BITS as a maintainer or an administrator.

III. Procedure

Step Action
1 Select Configuration > Reference Source from the main menu.

1 Select Configuration > Reference Source from the main menu.
In the reference source list, select the analog signal reference source, right
click, and select Configure Reference Source to display the Reference
Source dialog box as shown below.

In the reference source list, right click a record, and select Load Reference
