Project Description:
The Car Rental System will allow users to browse available vehicles, make reservations, and
manage bookings through an online portal. The system will send SMS notifications to customers
with booking confirmations, pickup reminders, and return reminders, helping to ensure a smooth
rental process. Administrators will have full control over vehicle inventory, rental schedules, and
customer management through a dedicated dashboard.
Scope of Work:
1. User Registration and Management:
o Customer Registration: Customers register with necessary details, including a
mobile number for SMS notifications.
o Profile Management: Registered users can view their booking history, current
rentals, and account details.
2. Vehicle Management:
o Inventory Management: Admins can add, update, or remove vehicles, including
details like make, model, price per day, availability status, and images.
o Vehicle Availability Tracking: Automatically update availability based on
bookings and returns.
3. Online Booking System:
o Search and Filter Options: Allow users to search for available vehicles by type,
model, price, and rental duration.
o Booking Process: Users select a vehicle, choose rental dates, and confirm
booking through an easy-to-use interface.
o Booking Confirmation: Send an SMS confirmation to customers with booking
details and rental duration.
4. SMS Notifications:
o Booking Confirmation: Notify customers with booking details immediately upon
confirmation.
o Pickup Reminders: SMS reminders a day before the scheduled pickup.
o Return Reminders: SMS notifications before the return date, helping customers
to adhere to rental timelines.
