1. FENG SHUI AND YOU
Feng Shui, pronounced "Fung shway," is
an ancient practice originating from China.
It deals with the placement of dwellings,
tombs, and other structures concerning
the flow of Qi, which is both visible and
invisible energy. "Feng Shui" translates
to "Wind-Water" and was highly valued
knowledge in ancient China, reserved
for the Emperor and his most important
Officials. This practice was believed to
ensure good health, power, and wealth,
making it a significant part of our rich
cultural heritage.
The practice of Feng Shui is complex and
based on principles such as Yin-Yang, Five
Elements, and Eight Trigrams, which reflect the various natural processes. Feng Shui Masters,
skilled in mathematics, astronomy, and geography, practiced this art.
The Flying Star method is a potent San Yuan Feng Shui technique for selecting, positioning,
designing, and enhancing properties. It involves nine bodies of Qi with specific traits and
attributes known as the Flying Stars: Star 1, Star 2, Star 3, Star 4, Star 5, Star 6, Star 7, Star 8,
and Star 9. Understanding and applying this method can significantly improve the energy flow
in your living or working space.

The auspicious Stars are 8, 9, 1, 6, and 4.

The inauspicious Stars are 2, 5, 7, and 3.

In Feng Shui practice, the Flying Star chart is akin to the property’s ID, revealing its essential
potential. By leveraging the auspicious Stars’ locations and directions, one can significantly
enhance the luck of the property's occupants. Conversely, the inauspicious locations/directions
could challenge their lives and business.

BASIC PRINCIPLES
Qi
Qi is known as the “breath of nature.”
It appears prosperous, growing, retreating,
dead, and killing Qi.
Yin/Yang
Yin/Yang is about polarities that exist
together and complement each other.
Yang is a male, active, quick, noisy,
penetrative, and superficial principle.
Yin is a female, passive, slow, quiet,
material, nurturing, and profound principle.
Five Elements
The Five Elements are Wood, Fire, Earth,
Metal, and Water.
The relationship between Elements is crucial for Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology practice.

FOLLOW THE STARS TO SEE THE BENEFITS.
At the beginning of February each year, the
energy in the nine locations of our property
changes. In such a way, while specific
locations become good or better than they
were, other areas become bad or worse.
With insight into annual Feng Shui forecasts,
planning how to use the space to gain control
over life and business is possible. The key to
getting the most out of a particular year is to
use auspicious locations and avoid activating
those bad ones.
The overall influence of the Star at specific
locations depends primarily on its nature:
good, bad, or neutral. However, whether the
place is active or passive is also essential
because the more active the area is - the faster
the Stars will work.
Regarding active locations at home, the most
active is always the area that houses the main
entrance. In addition, the front of the property
is also considered very active, as it has the
most openings and an unobstructed view
(sometimes the front of the property is the
most open with a clear view, although this is
not necessarily the rule).
For those who lead an active life, have goals to accomplish, or a highly competitive business to
run, we recommend following annual or monthly Flying Stars. The general rule for “Following
the Stars” is to “follow” the yearly Star 9 for wealth, fame, and success. While Star 1 supports
smooth sailing, movement, and travel - Star 8 is more suitable for those looking for stability and
persistence. Regarding Star 6, it is a perfect aid for those striving for authority and discipline,
while Star 4 is ideal for social life, romance, and - academics.

However, knowing the nature of the nine Stars is not enough. When employing them, we
should also consider what a certain Star represents for a person (relationship, wealth, health,
etc.). You can master this knowledge in Althea’s Feng Shui courses. In addition, we can also use
the other Stars, like Star 3 to open new paths, Star 7 for fame and joy, Star 2 for properties, etc.

What matters now is that you understand that the phrase “Following the Stars” means
staying at specific locations during the year (sleep, work, spend time) or changing the
area every month (when one decides to follow the monthly Stars).

The Annual Flying Stars influence our health in various ways, depending on their strength and
auspiciousness. These stars impact us through the locations we frequent, especially where we
sleep. It’s crucial to pay attention to the Annual Stars, as knowing where troublesome Flying Stars
are located each year is vital for the elderly, pregnant women, those in recovery, and anyone with
chronic health issues or immunity problems.
Feng Shui teaches us to avoid areas that can weaken our health and to spend time in those that
positively affect it. By being aware of the Annual Stars, we can make informed decisions about where
to spend our time, ensuring that we harness beneficial energies and protect our well-being.

The bad locations for health in 2025 are:

However, it's not ideal for individuals with high blood pressure and inflammation, as these
conditions could worsen here.
In 2025, the energy in the Southwest has calming and stabilizing qualities. Therefore, sleeping

The North is also a decent area for health, although it works better in 2025 for looks and

We are the most vulnerable while sleeping, so we need an excellent location to place our beds
in 2025.
This is especially important for those born in the days of Dragon, Tiger, or Pig.

The best locations for sleep in 2025 are:

SOUTHWEST
SOUTHEAST

Place your bed in the Southeast for a deep rest and a good night’s sleep. This is especially
beneficial if you are overworked and tired. If the Southeast of the home is not available,
consider placing your bed in the Southeast corner of your bedroom to connect with this energy.
However, do mind that there is one 15-degree location within Southeast that should be avoided
– Southeast 1. Since this sector will host an Illness Star in 2025, it should be better avoided.

The Southwest will have a calming and stabilizing quality in 2025. Therefore, if you work a lot
and need proper rest, the Southwest could be a great option.

Romance is vital because it infuses our lives

Romance brings a sense of excitement

Moreover, romance is about being able to

enjoying each other’s company. It enhances

Additionally, the Northwest, South, and West areas are better for males, so singles could

“wealth luck”—the ability to attract and

and personal directions and adapting each year (or month), we can more precisely align with
our wealth luck, supporting our financial growth and stability.
While pursuing wealth, don’t forget that we must give as we receive.
The wealth we acquire with the help of Feng Shui should not be our final, personal goal
because it can enable us to use our resources to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

In 2025, the Northwest, West, and South are all proper wealth areas, improving the wealth

West, or South of your office.
The Southwest (especially Southwest 3) is favorable for investors and property developers, as
well as for real estate, farming, manufacturing, and similar businesses.

10. HARDSHIPS AND LOSSES IN 2025
Challenges and problems are essential parts of our lives, shaping us into wiser and
stronger individuals. The journey to reach this point can take time and often involves
navigating unknown and unfamiliar territories. Before we rise, we may stumble, feel helpless,
lose our peace of mind, and question our confidence and trust in life.
Life’s reality is that not every problem can be solved immediately. Some issues persist, and we
may struggle to find solutions or adequate help while they are happening. At times, we need to
rest, recuperate, and regain our strength to get back on track, stronger than before.
Feng Shui can offer support if you need a break from solving problems and dealing with
hardships. Following the current year's Feng Shui recommendations can save you from great
hardship, unnecessary disputes, and significant losses. Feng Shui can also help indirectly by
decreasing the power of specific issues and mitigating the effect of unpleasant situations.

In 2025, the following areas are considered the sources of difficulties and hardship:
NORTHEAST
SOUTHEAST 3
NORTHWEST 3
EAST (EAST 2, NORTHEAST 3, SOUTHEAST 1 - San Sha)

The best way to deal with these unfavorable locations – is not to activate them in any
way (they should stay quiet and undisturbed).
In 2025, activating the Northeast, home to the notorious Star 5, could exacerbate problems in
your life, leading to additional hardships, losses, and delays. To avoid these adverse effects, it
is best to avoid activating the Northeast area altogether.
Southeast 3 is considered the area associated with conflicts, problems, and losses, known as
the wrath of Tai Sui. Northwest 3, as the seat of Sui Po, has similar negative effects.
Since the East is the seat of the annual San Sha, it is essential not to activate this area.

12. DO NOT RENOVATE IN 2024
Some places should remain undisturbed
because making changes to them—
such as renovations—could lead to
unforeseen problems and challenges.
To avoid dealing with disputes, losses,
or other calamities, it's best to refrain
from renovating certain areas of your
property in 2025. This is crucial because
the consequences may extend the current
year!

The areas that should not be

renovated in 2025:
NORTHEAST
SOUTHEAST 3
NORTHWEST 3
EAST

As previously mentioned, the Northeast is the seat of the notorious Star 5; hence, this area is
unsuitable for reconstruction or renovation in 2025. If you must include the Northeast in your
renovation plan, start with this location in January 2025 (it is still solar year 2024).
Since the East is San Sha's seat, it is also unsuitable for reconstruction/renovation, together
with Southeast 3, which hosts the Tai Sui. Keep in mind that San Sha in the East encompasses
the following locations: Southeast 1, East 2, and Northeast 3.
**Notably, you are more exposed to these influences when your property or main entrance
faces one of the directions mentioned above.

12. SPECIAL LOCATIONS
(activate to improve your luck in 2025)
The four unique locations of Feng Shui that can improve your luck change every year. They are
essential in Feng Shui practice, as they are considered to be chests with hidden treasure. The
benefits they might provide remain hidden when we are unaware of them and they are not
activated.
However, these hidden treasures can be released when we know where to find them and how
to activate them. Each of the four locations has its own Chinese name and particular qualities.
The four unique locations in 2025 are:
NORTH 2 (Long De)
SOUTH 2 (Tai Yang)
SOUTHWEST 3 (Tai Yin)
NORTHEAST 3 (Fu De)
To activate Tai Yang in 2025, use fire (this is about the Fire Element—find info in my e-book
“Space Clearing for your Home and Soul”). By activating the South 2 location of your home,
you will benefit in more than one way. For example, this activation can improve your energy
and enthusiasm or help reset the energy at home. This reset is particularly important after
experiencing a period of hardship or illness.
Regarding the Tai Yin, you can also benefit from activating this location in different ways. For
example, you can activate Southwest 3 at your office to boost your business. On the other
hand, activation at home can help your relationships, strengthening family bonds. In 2025, use
water to activate the area.
To release the benefits of the Long De Star, use water in the North 2. The simplest way to do this
is to place a glass vase filled with water in this location and keep it there for a couple of days.
Regarding the Fu De Star, it is typically a great location to activate if one’s goal is to find
personal fulfillment. On the other hand, since Northeast will be the seat of the Star 5 in 2025,
this activation can end up causing more damage than benefits.
*Note:
You can also use bells, gongs, or cymbals to move the energy in all four locations, just as you can play
loud music, etc.

HOW TO INTERPRET THE FLYING STARS
CHART FOR 2025
• The numbers written underneath each of the directions are the annual Stars.
• The numbers inside each of the 12 quadrants represent monthly Stars.
• For example, in February 2025, one can find monthly Star 7 in the North; #8 is in the
Southwest, #9 in the East, #1 in the Southeast, and so on.

Reminder - How to use the Stars:

• Pay attention to monthly #5. This is an area you don’t want to disturb too much, especially if
you were born in a Rabbit or Dog year/month/day/hour and if you’re feeling tired, weak, or sick
– or if you are experiencing a hard time in a relationship or career and business.
• Pay attention to monthly #2 if your Self is weak and you’re prone to health issues (especially
those born in the Rabbit or Dog y/m/d/h).
• Pick a Star you want (#8 for money, #9 for fame, #1 for mobility, #4 for romance, etc.) and use
it daily (location).
