¡ Check external appearance, function and tightness.
¡ Document repair work, measured values and functional reliability.
If the appliance is not functional:

¡ Warn customers of commissioning and notify them in writing .

Like every other Li-Ion battery the battery is subject to natural wear as
well. That means the battery capacity and thus runtime decrease over
time. This is a natural aging process and not the result of a material /
production failure or a product defect.
Runtime of batteries depends on multiple factors:

5.2 Checking hand held cordless vacuum cleaner


5.2.1 Checking battery
Required tools:
Multimeter Digital multimeter VC 850K [15000062]
Prerequisite:
Battery is fully charged.
Hand held cordless vacuum cleaner is removed.
Electrical connections of control module are accessible.
1. Disconnect battery pack from the control module.
2. Measure voltage on the battery plug.
3. If measured voltage < 16.5 VDC for (21.6 V appliance variants) or < 19.3 VDC
(for 25.2 V appliance variants).

Power supply unit is checked.
Hand held cordless vacuum cleaner is removed.
1. Connect power supply unit.
2. Measure voltage between contact pins.

3. If measured voltage = 0 VDC.


- Replace main body.
4. If measured voltage = 32 VDC (for 25.2 V appliance variants) or 27 VDC (for Li-Ion
21.6 V appliance variants).
- Check electrical contact between main body and handheld vacuum cleaner.

Hand stick sliding switch is included in hand stick handle spare part kit.
Required tools:
Multimeter Digital multimeter VC 850K [15000062]
Hand stick sliding switch can be tested by measuring resistance between handle ter-
minals.

Accessory compartments are empty - nozzles removed.
Appliance is in upright position.

1. Open accessory compartment cover.

Prerequisite:
Hand held cordless vacuum cleaner is removed.
Filtration unit is removed.

6.2.1 Removing control module


1. Secure hand held cordless vacuum cleaner sliding switch against incidental
switching on.

4. Remove filter.
Electrical connections of control module are accessible.
5. Disconnect control module.

2. Put appliance on top.

6.3.1 Removing battery / blower motor

Notice
Risk of damage!
Painted or high-gloss housing parts scratch easily.
▶ Use soft cloth as a shield to prevent scratches caused by the
screwdriver blade.
1. 1. Hold handle by left hand to prevent handle cover from falling out during re-
moval (1).
2. Slide screwdriver blade between handle cover and side cover (2).
3. Move screwdriver up to release hooks (3).

Handle cover is removed.
