1. Briefly discuss the topic that was presented in the seminar.
The topic is all about Telecommunications and how it might be used in the future, and why it
matters in our lives. Engr. Cabiling also talked about the history of telecommunications, from the first
generation to possibly the sixth. It's interesting to know how we got here, but what really caught my
attention is what's coming next. Telecommunications is like the unsung hero of our connected world,
and it's going to be even more important. I'm talking about 6G - the next big thing. Engr. Cabiling
hinted at it, and it's got me excited. Just think about super-fast data, hardly any delay, and everything
being really well connected.
2. What are the new knowledge relevant to the electronics engineering profession?
In electronics engineering, telecommunications does more than just texting or watching videos. It's
what connects different parts of our tech-filled lives, like smart homes and self-driving cars. Engr.
Cabiling showed us how important this is. It made me see that telecommunications isn't just for fun
anymore. It's a big part of how our world works today.
3. What are the possible applications of the acquired new knowledge to the electronics engineering
profession?
In the world of electronics engineering, it's crucial to be good at both technical stuff and working
well with people. Technical skills like hardware design and programming are important, but so are soft
skills like communication and teamwork. As engineers, we need to keep learning about new things like
smart technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), and eco-friendly electronics. These skills help us create
cool solutions for different fields like healthcare and renewable energy. It's like having a toolbox with
both technical know-how and the ability to collaborate effectively.
4. Provide a conclusion/recommendation on the seminar.
Telecommunications is the backbone of our tech world. It lets us use smart gadgets, watch videos,
and imagine self-driving cars. It's not just about calling and texting anymore. Understanding its history
and future shows how much it's changing everything. From the first phone to what might happen with
6G, telecom keeps evolving and shaping how we connect and live. It's like the silent hero of our tech
adventure.
