Script: "Sponge Ryl"

Scene 1: Ryl’s Problem

Background theme: A small, messy living room. It’s raining outside. Soft, slow music plays.

1. [Ryl is sitting on the floor, surrounded by papers and toys. He looks very tired.]
Ryl (to himself): “Why do I feel like this? It’s like I take in all the problems around me. I
feel so heavy.”
2. [Ryl suddenly turns into a sponge. His arms and legs are still there, but he’s all yellow
and squishy now.]
Ryl: “Oh no. Now I’m a sponge? Really?”

Scene 2: Feeling Heavy

Background theme: The room looks darker now. Rain sounds get louder. The music gets slower.

3. [Ryl tries to stand up, but he’s too heavy and falls back on the couch. Water starts
dripping from him.]
Ryl: “The more I hold in, the heavier I get. I don’t like this!”

Scene 3: Zia Arrives

Background theme: The door opens, and sunlight comes into the room. Happy music starts
playing.

4. [Zia walks in with a big smile. She’s holding a sandwich. She looks at Ryl and stops.]
Zia: “Ryl? Why do you look… like that?”
5. [Ryl waves his sponge arms weakly.]
Ryl: “I feel so heavy. Everything is too much.”
6. [Zia puts her sandwich down and walks over to Ryl.]
Zia: “Okay. Don’t move. I know what to do.”

Scene 4: The Hug

Background theme: The room gets brighter, and warm colors fill the screen. The music turns soft
and sweet.

7. [Zia hugs Ryl really tight. Water squirts out of him everywhere—on the floor, on Zia,
even on the walls.]
Ryl: “Wait! You’re gonna get wet!”
Zia: “It’s okay! Just let it out.”
8. [Ryl slowly stops dripping water. He turns back into a normal person.]
Ryl: “Whoa. I feel… better.”

Scene 5: All Better

Background theme: The rain outside stops, and the room looks clean and bright. Fun, happy
music plays.
9. [Zia wipes her face. She’s soaking wet but smiling.]
Zia: “See? You just needed to let it all out.”
10. [Ryl laughs and starts cleaning up the water.]
Ryl: “Thanks, Zia. That really helped.”
11. [Zia picks up her sandwich and takes a bite.]
Zia: “Anytime. But next time, don’t hold it all in. Just talk to me, okay?”
12. [Ryl nods and smiles as the camera zooms out.]
