Chapter I: The Problem and its Background
Millions of Americans using Electrical Cigarettes or in short E-cigarettes. Despite their
popularity, little is known about their health effects. Some suggest that E-cigarettes likely confer
lower risk compared to combustible tobacco cigarettes, because they do not expose users to
toxicans produced through combustion. While others are concerned about the exposure to
potentially toxic substances contained in cigarettes emissions, especially in individuals who
have never used tobacco products such as youth and young adults (National Academies Press,
2018). An E-cigarette is a device that has the shape of a usual cigarette and it doesn’t contain
tobacco. It uses battery and contains a solution of nicotine, flavorings, and other

help smokers quit smoking.

This research seeks to give response to the Possible Outcomes of Using E-cigarettes in the
Academic Attainment and Health of Grade 11-GAS students. The results of this study shall be used as
bases in discovering new concepts on the use of E-cigarettes and Academic Attainment/Health.
Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following questions:
1. What are the possible reasons why students start using of E-cigarettes?
2. What are the impacts of using E-cigarette in Academic Attainment?
3. How to prevent the students from using E-cigarettes?
Scope and Limitation
This study covers the Possible Outcomes of Using E-cigarettes in the Academic Attainment and
Health of Grade 11-GAS Students. However, it does not tackle (insert what closely related concept will
not be tackled; may be more than one limitation). With limited sources and scope, this study is bounded
to achieve its goals with the help of ________ respondents- (insert specific target respondents) - from
First City Providential College, located at Barangay Narra, Francisco Homes, City of San Jose Del Monte,
Bulacan. The online interview shall be conducted on January 2023.
