In accordance with the guidelines presented in the Personal Development course document, here are five
take away measures that you need to consciously apply to improve and sustain the grade ‘A’ quality:

High Standards: Ensure that you score above 85 % in all assignments all the time as anything less than this
is worrisome. Average is not good enough.

Active Class Participation: Take part in classroom discussions, make contributions, and ask questions
without waiting to be asked to do so. Participation in class is a considerable percentage of your score
Timely Submission of Work: Submit on time all the assessments that are supposed to be submitted as
overdue submissions will not be considered. Realizing deadlines is also critical to achieving a good score
Professionalism: Show virtue in all manner including how you dress in regard when attending to online
classes and also address the fellow classmates and the instructor .

Continuous Self-Evaluation. Monitor your performance according to the individual grades received and
progress made.

As impressive and worthy of commendation as these five behaviors exhibited by the facilitator in the
course on Personal Development, which is professionally refined so as to help you earn all the required
marks could be adopted by you as a teacher in training:

Setting High Standards: The facilitator expects every student to do well and such mindset is reflected in the
academic standards which she invariably sets. This can be practice by you when one day you will be a
teacher. One way is to encourage your students to always give their best and expect nothing than
excellence from them in all aspects of their learning.

Encouraging Active Participation: The facilitator directs all the students to be involved in class activities,
asking for questions and explanations during the lessons. You can use this in your teaching by ensuring the
class is highly participatory and lively.

Making Feedback Timely: The facilitator shows how students should be aware of their state of progression
by providing feedback on time. This is a practice which you will find is necessary in your teaching in order to
enhance the output of your students by helping them perfect their work.

Professionalism: The facilitator displays professionalism through courtesy and adherence to dress codes.
When on the other hand students become teachers like this they would be exemplary role modes.

2. 3.

As a person who values lifelong learning, I will embrace integrity by being honest. I will conduct all of my
own academic work and will not claim the work of any other student as my own. I will give credit where
credit is due in my work, as this respects the intellectual property of others and promotes a culture of trust
in the academic community of which I am a part. I will also be honest in my communication with peers,
instructors, and mentors, being open regarding my progress and struggles so that I can gain constructive
feedback and support about my development. Additionally, I will make decisions grounded in ethics,
considering how my choices will impact others and my community. Maintaining integrity in all my
interactions and endeavors allows me to be accountable for my actions and feel a sense of responsibility to
others.

As a person who values excellence, I will strive to be better by actively seeking out opportunities for
personal and professional growth, such as attending conferences, reading widely outside of my discipline,
and engaging in the self-reflective process. I will also embrace challenges, viewing obstacles as
opportunities for growth and engaging in new subjects or projects outside of my comfort zone. This
demonstrates to myself that I can be resilient and progressive while developing my practice of excellence. I
will strive for excellence in my studies and future practice and will encourage my peers to do the same. By
developing a culture of excellence, I am positively impacting my academic and professional community.
