My Journal Reflection:
The things that I consider as my weakness is the lack of self-confidence, self-value and
purpose. With this, I cannot show and tell who I truly am. Dancing is my passion, but
facing in front of people, leads me to foreshadow my talent. I may be shy or have a
stage fright when facing people, but I truly scared the most is the judgement of people.
Their critics, opinions, or what they can truly say really freaks me out.
As the time goes by, my dance skills were slowly fading away. But with the help of my
friends, I’ve faced my weakness by realizing that my talent should be what I’m proud of,
not to hide it. With self-trust, I faced my fears.
My friends bring the best of me, when things got down for me. With their support, it get
me motivated to stand up and be for myself.

Module 2 – Personal Recipe for Success (w/ reflection):

My Personal Recipe for Success:
½ pinch of self-trust
¾ pinch of time-management
3 tablespoons of self-commitment
7 teaspoons of generosity
1 gallon of creativity
7 grams of versatility
7 kilograms of hard work

My Reflection:
In order for me to succeed, there are things that I listed down above. Those things that I
listed down are the requirements and qualifications to be successful.

Module 3:
A. My Personal Timeline (w/ reflection):
1. Yes, and it would be entitled as “A Hard worker.” Working hard is what I can truly say
for myself as I faced challenges. In order for me to face these challenges, I work hard.
At the end, it pays off.
2. When I entered my first year as a junior high school student, I felt anxious at first
since I didn’t actually know how to multiply and divide, but eventually, I learned it at all
as I discover new lessons especially in mathematics.
3. My mother, of course. She’s an inspiration for me to work hard. As she tell me her
experiences, I feel pity to my mother as she faced difficult challenges in her life just to
live. With that, it made me realize that I should able to help my mother specially when I
become successful.
4. I wouldn’t change it at all, my past remains the piece of me. It is a precious memory
where I experienced, encountered and deal with things. If I ever change my past, it
would totally different in present time, meaning just one tiny change could possibly reset
my life. I am willing to live and learn with the mistakes I made in the past.
5. In a year, my studies must go on and still have good grades.
In 5 years, I see myself in college. Hopefully, I could pass my desired course and will
stick to it.
In 10 years, I see myself as a professional worker. Hopefully, it would have an impact in
my life and pays well. At this time, probably planning to build my own house.

B. Mindfulness (w/ reflection):

1. Yes, there have been many times someone asked me a question that I didn’t want to
respond. I usually do is to change the topic and ignore that question which redirect to
another conversation.
2. Yes, I have received some compliments that weren’t that sincere. It usually leaves
me feeling awkward. In a situation like this, words from other people doesn’t define who
I am. I know myself f rather than them, so I actually don’t mind at all meaning for me it
wasn’t a big deal.
3. Yes, many times. The time when I wanted to help by doing the dished when I
accidentally broke the dish plate, I got scolded by no other than, my mother. I wanted to
help because I don’t want to feel that I was just useless in our house, so when I tried to
help, things didn’t plan as happened.
4. Yes, I have caught someone cheating before in tests. It is a long quiz, so it quite
difficult. So, what I did is I did nothing because it may have severe consequence, but I
chose to remain silent as I don’t want things to get bad and be in a situation being
bothered.
5. I have never been witnessed someone cheating in terms of couple-relationships. If
ever I caught, I probably do nothing at all. It’s their life, what’s in it for me when I
interfere with theirs. Usually, just stay out of trouble and be unbothered.
6. I have witnessed situations where someone spoke without thinking, often when
someone have a fight in a relationship which resulting to unintentionally hurting
someone’s feelings causing conflict. It is important to think before you speak, words
can’t be hurtful sometimes, and relationships can be strained, and trust can be broken.
So, it is important to be mindful of what we say and how it may impact to others.

Module 4 – Slogan or Personal Declaration on Being Happy (w/ reflection):

1. Read the essay on “Being Happy”
2. Being happy is to recognize that it is worthwhile to live, despite all the challenges,
misunderstandings, and times of crises. This paragraph is one of hit me the most. As
we live in this world, our life may occur some challenges. But that can be serve later, do
the things you enjoy, spend your best quality of time. Problems can be deal later, but
our times in joy may be fading away as we grow older.
3. “Do the things you enjoy, live as you can be.”
“It is okay to be different from others, just be who you are.” Life can be so cruel
sometimes, the judgement from people’s words can hurt someone’s life. We can live at
once, what’s in a life when you can only live once. In my life, I feel so different from
others.
4. Whenever I walked in our street, people will notice me as a gay person. What could
be the possible that they know me, they didn’t even know my gender identity. In a
situation like this, I usually ignore and just mind my own business. My life mattered the
most because it’s my life. There are the things that will able to develop myself further (1)
appreciate myself, (2) find the things what I truly am, and (3) trusting myself when
making decisions. Through this, it will not just develop myself but also, it will help me to
achieve incomparable happiness.

Module 5 – Stress Signals

1. I know I am stressed when there is physical, emotional, and behavioral stress signal
occur such as cold hands, anxiety and panicking. Usually, it happen mostly when facing
people such as reporting. This brings me the most to cause stress and also cramming in
projects, like I’m doing right now.
2. Since I don’t have a partner, I cannot answer to that question.
3. I am currently stressed from all the schoolwork requirements as it needs to be pass
on a specific deadline and have to accomplish. I remain calmed at the same time since
all of these will pass, anyways.
4. When I’m having cold hands it could possibly being nervous., usually when I’m
speaking in front, facing the audience meaning it is a serious situation which triggers my
stress signals leading to stress.
5. Whenever I am in a situation like panicking, I usually do the inhale and exhale
breathing method. It is a stress-relieving method, with that, it calms my mind and also a
great method to use when being stress.

Module 7

A. Media Influences
1. One ad that I can state during my adolescence is the Ponds facial wash. It makes
seem that having an acne or pimple is unacceptable and something to be ashamed of.
Beauty standards doesn’t affect me at all since I don’t really care what people see about
myself, as long as I’m alive, that is important.
2. I actually didn’t care at all. That’s the reality when you hit puberty, pimples will start to
grow on face, at fact we should be thankful what we have rather than to be something
that we can’t.
3. Ads can be often exaggerated meaning the only target is to catch our attentions and
weaknesses. Specifically, they target the most are the teenagers, they lower our self-
esteem due to its beauty standards. A beauty has everyone, an individual has own
meaning to define its beauty.

behavior and actions.

to more understandable, and an open person to open-up with.

1. As the end of first semester and the demands of it, I became more stressed than
before. As we step into another stage in our life, it becomes more complex. It is part of
our life to discover new things and to step forward, but with the lack of time
management and self-discipline. I guess, it would be difficult to and challenging to face
it.
2. I thought that I understood myself better than anyone, but confusion exists. New
things can be challenging. For example, as I try to be secretive, but the truth finds
always reveal on its way. This could possibly mean that, life is full of surprises.
3. I have learned that many emotions exist. The problem is, how would I know one of
them when I usually don’t express myself emotionally. Some people think that, If you
keep your emotions to yourself, it would be destructive. Well, not for me, as I realized
that no other people can understand you, only yourself meaning the only ally in your life
is yourself. I usually proclaimed myself as an independent person with this, it makes me
that I don’t their pity, reaction, or whatsoever.
