What I need to know
Objective:
• To define information, access, analysis, response,
communicate information and social media;
• To classify content of different media types;
• To evaluate how a particular individual and society is
portrayed in public using social me.
Information
It is that which inform. It can be answer to the question, a
news, or a data. It is something that is also communicable.
Information is the output that results from analyzing,
contextualizing, structuring, interpreting or in other ways
processing data. Information infuses meaning and value into the
data. It facilitates understanding, communication and learning,
and is a key factor in system designs and strategic planning, as well
as in problem-solving and decision-making. Information brings
context to the data, taurning what would otherwise be
meaningless content into something comprehensible and usable.
(Sheldon, 2023).
Access
There are various ways to access
media. Later in this report, we
acknowledge on where to find this forms of
media.
There are various technical
competences to navigate around tecnology
and one of it is "big data analysis". This
leads us today to have ai intellegence,
augmented reality, big data concept, etc.
Analysis
Thinking reflectively and critically on what has
been read, seen or experienced and its implication to
oneself and one's community.

It also include the assessment ofthe reliability of


the materials, its source, and if it is presenting facts.

This part is important so that you as an individual


did not helps to spread news or something like that.
Response
It is the ability to explore media. It is also
evaluate how the audience shape their insights,
perspective and identities.

Since the response would happen after you


the activity, it hold the result. Response would be
responsible to the conflicts/problems that may
happen after the action.
Media
It encompasses all means of
communication from publications, radio,
tv and now the internet.

This is the reason why news can


easily spread out of the country.
Social Media
It refers to the interaction of
an individual in a computer-based
technology that facilitates the
sharing of ideas, thoughts and
impormation throught visual
interaction to its cyber community.
Its like media but its computer-
based.

•Broadcast
•New Media
PRINT
Books
Books is a collection of idea or thoughts that can
be an opinion, facts, friction, non-friction, a biography
and etc. Its an idea that can entertain, educate. Also, be
emotional or political.

This media can educate but somethimes not an


reliable source.
Newsletter
It allows prompt delivery of
detailed coverageof newsand other
information with intersting features
readers.
The main forcus of this media
is to spread news.
Magazines
It is a specialized advertising media
that serves educational, informational,
entertainment and other specialized needs
of consumers, business and industries.
This print media mainly uses to
promote products by different companies.
Journal
Collecting, writing, editing
and presenting of news in
print, braodcast or the
internet without the
objectivity. Facts should be
presented and should be
delivered without bias.
BROADCAST
Radio
It is one of the most personal medium and
offers selectivity, cost efficiency and flexibility
advantages over other media.

This media uses sound to deliver news. It can


also be use to advertise products.
Television
The most authoritive, flexible,
influencial, exciting medium for
reaching very large audience.

This media also uses sound to


deliver news and advertise products,
but unlike radio it also uses your
sight for visual representation.
Film
Unlike radio and television,
this media isn’t spreading news
and also didn’t advertise.

It entertain rather than to


share news. A tool for
communication, that’s why it’s a
part of media.
New Media
Internet
• It is rapidly growing, most use medium of communication.
• Communication is very easy across each country and even overseas.
• Compare to the other form of media, itt provide limitless
information as well as opportunities.
• It also use worldwide web to display a website or e-commere the
world.
