• First we set the levels if we needed.
• Draw exterior walls from the drawings
• The draw interior walls by using the offset tools ( wall center dimensions )
• We use the trimming tools to draw the accurate drawings
• The walls in top to the level 2 or need elevation check that
• Add door where we needed , we can change the door directions by space key and adjust by left
right up, down keys
• Then we need for opening such as arch we select the architecture tab in left hand top side wall
we select and draw a rectangular
( we need the opening which is attached to wall we put the dimension in suitable location (=
150/2)
• Then we add windows, fanlight like the door case
• Use the align tool to align the door and windows ( use elevation sections north , west , east ,
south)
• Add furniture by components ( use rotate, move tool to adjust)
• We add ground floor which that elevation is under the 1 st floor so we draw the gl floor by using
level tool
• Create roof : first select level 2 then click the floor, we can change the floor thickness using
duplicate by 150 mm
• If we need the exterior walls connect to the ground floor we select
one exterior wall and the right click - select all instances – in entire project - go to properties
– base constraint – ( then the top walls hanging so – left of top – modify wall – attach top tool
– click the top level
• if we need verandah in front of the building we edit the floor plan in level 1 for need shape
select the floor - left of the top – modify floor – edit boundary – go to level 1 – edit (delete or
draw )- click the ok button
• previous done we need to draw a wall from GL to level 1 ( by using any align wall to wall use
align tool, (attach top tool – click the top level 1 for appearance look )

Type 3 : center end spiral -select center- select start end – click – rotate (riser develop)
Type 4 : u or L shape
Type 5 : create sketch ……up
• Provide shaft : level 2- shaft opening -draw line – click ok tick - provide shaft constrain
• If we need stair GL to level 1 we add stair without railing
• We can create with or without riser by edit in – constructure - untick the riser
Class panel
• Create a level for class panel ( curtain wall) (base level and top level )
• Add curtain wall for needed space and levels ( architecture -wall – (in bottom)- curtain wall)
• Initially that wall nor visible so we select the wall and – modify walls – edit profile- close- draw
needed space
• If we need grid in curtain wall – select curtain wall – edit type - vertical grid – fixed distance like
horizonatal
Sun shade
• create level from windows bottom level to top level ( I create already for curtain walls)
• level1 – architecture -roof – roof by extrusion – pick a plane – ok – select a outer wall of exterior
wall – open view- level– w. top level -off set 0 – ok – draw by line tool-click correct – edit the
thickness of roof – change the extrusion end minus to plus ( needed ) - adjust any of go to
elevation and change
• if need side shade for window – wall – edit the thickness – in level w. base – draw a wall to outer
-top constrain [Link] – ( may use modify tool to use adjust and mirror tool , move tool )
• can change the shape of the shade wall = correct elevation plan - edit profile – delete needed
shape and draw change shaped using line or arc
• likewise we add sunshades for all windows we select all element (with ctrl) -copy – multiple –
select base point – click the same base point in other windows
site components
• ground level -massing and site- topo surface – elevation (-1000) (GL Elevation)- place a point –
( place points if we needed points ) -click correct
• if we present the ridge fit we can change the elevation + or –

Add tiles In floor
• Manage – material – create new material – name ( indentify ) – graphics -use render
appearance - appearance – colour ( we can add image also ) click image –select needed
– (views – thumbnails )
• - click image – change the size also – ok
• Modify – geometry – paint – select pqr – then select the needed surface - done
• we can add othe colour tiles for front floor but you should create separate floor in that
• reduce the and floor transparency to 0
lightning and rendering
• select level 2 – ( we use lightning where we must create ceiling )- architecture – ceiling -
select type – ( 1. Automatic 2. Sketch ) 2.- draw- rectangular or line – inner start - tick
• its show upper – so we align – east ( elevation ) – align to ( slab bottom ;ceiling top)
• select the floor ( in level 2) & ceiling - override graphics in view -by elements- surface
transparency - increase up to 95 – apply – ok ( know we can see ) for set up the light
• system – lighting fixture- load – edit type of light ( watt , colour) – ceiling plan level 1
add
• reduce the ceiling and floor transparency to 0

walk through
• view -3d view click – walk through – gl or level 1 – off set level to camera elevation we put –
put one place and click to scroll other place – ( if we start gl ) – we come where steps we
increase the off set - then change the floor level - put if needed palce – right click -cancel-
• project browser – walkthrough - + click the 1 – realistic view -edit walkthrough – if we change
the position of view – shift + right click to adjust
• frame – no of frame – frame per second – uniform speed – ok
• main view – export – images and animations – walkthrough – frame range – visual style –
realistic ( if render select – time consuming more) – ok -save – compresser- Microsoft vedio 1 -
ok
extra designs in family
• revit main view – new – family – generic model select ( any of that ) – unit change – select
elevation view – one of that –(front )
• extrusion –( we create cross section it will produce extrude form ) – by using tools – length -load
in to project -so it will come our project – can use put level also
drawing pergola
• draw a two walls – go level 2- floor- draw floors rectangular- by copy tool- click ok –
• delete wall – colum by tools and beam (by walls or beam columns )

3. gambrel roof
4. clerestory roof
5. hip roof
6. half hip roof
7. cross cabled roof
8. butterfly roof
1. shed roof :
create a like a box with walls without top opening in level 1 to level 2 - go level 2 – roof –
modify – rectangular – offset – ( outer extended length )- 1000 – draw – ( it indicate the slope 4
side ) – if we need one slope – click other three side – define slope – un tick – click correct
• we can change the slope size – click the roof – edit foot print – level 2 – click the slope roof

entire project – attch top – click the top wall
2. cable with catslide
• draw a wall like this – roof – roof by foot print (default)- level 2 – rectangular – offset 1000-
draw 2 rectangular for this fig –by modify tool- draw rectangular for that fig – we want only
long and opposite section slope so we select other slope – define slope – untick -
• attach the walls to the other side of roof – select one wall – right click – select all instances –
entire project – attach top – click the top wall
3. gambrel roof
•
• Draw a wall like this – architecture – work plane - ref plane – create a reference plan (
vertical through the plan ) – section view ( quick access tool bar ) ( vertical through the
plan ) – roof – roof by extrusion – pick a plane - select the drawn plane – ok – section 1
– open view – level 2 – we draw needed shape

• draw like wall – roof – roof by foot print – level 2- – rectangular – offset – ( outer extended
length )- 1000 – one click to start – space – it will go inside – draw a rectangular inside of this (
long side not touch and small side touch so adjust – we need only long side slope – other side
remove the slope by previous – by do other 2 sides section view draw – click – move to up the
first inside roof –
• attach the walls to the other side of roof – select wall- attach top – click the top wall
