LESSON
Market Trends and Customers’ Preference Products
A simple survey is an investigation about the state of the market
for a particular product or services. It also includes an analysis of the
consumers’ preferences.
We conduct simple surveys using technology and other data-
gathering methods to determine the following:
A. Market Trends of Products
Market trends of products are in demand not only within the local
market but also in the international market. Locally manufactured
products intended for the global market have unique designs and
high-quality craftsmanship that demand higher value and earn
profits for entrepreneurs.
Product Marketing is the set of activities one should be aware in
order to know more about the products offered.
Here are some activities to determine market trends on products
made of bamboo, wood or metal:
1. Direct Marketing – This is done
through demonstrations, trade
exhibits and other public venues.
This is a popular activity being
done by the producers to motivate
consumers or buyers about the
products.
2. Advertising in Print Media –
This is an activity done through
advertisements in newspapers,
magazines and flyers about the
product.
[Link], Television and
Internet Advertising

products through the use of
electronic devices and platforms.
4. Distributing Products via
Transport System – Products

through the means of land, air
and sea transportation. It enables
the spread of promotion and
feedbacks even in the farthest
region of the country.
B. Customers’ Product Preferences
Products are in the form of home furnishings, table tops, jewelry,
decorative accessories, home accents, kitchen and garden decors.
Customers buying craft vary generally from tourists, collectors,
business people, artists or artisans, people attending conferences
and many others.
Craft artisans and entrepreneurs must adopt new marketing
strategies to reach their consumers by offering services such as;
1. free delivery
2. repair and retouch services
3. special promotions
