SST Science Interviews with
their answers
Interview#01
Q. What is PSDP?
It stands for public sector development programme. It is initiated
by the government to provide funds to the projects which are for
public like health, education, energy, agriculture etc.
Q. Dames in sindh?
Chotiari Dam
Darawat Dam
Nai Gaj Dam
Sindh Barrage
Dam: It is mainly used to generate electricity. It stores water at
high level in reservoir which increases the potential energy of the
water.
Barrage: It is mainly used to divert water from river to the canal. It
changes the direction of flow of water.
Canal : it is a human made for agriculture and human uses which
direct supply of water does not existed.
Q. What is aerodynamics?
Aerodynamics is the study of the motion of air, particularly when
affected by a solid object, such as an airplane wing.
Q. What is entropy its example?
Entropy, the measure of a system's thermal energy per unit
temperature that is unavailable for doing useful work. Because
work is obtained from ordered molecular motion, the amount of
entropy is also a measure of the molecular disorder, or
randomness, of a system.
Q. Difference b/w K.E and P.E?
Kinetic energy is due to motion of the body, actively using energy
for movement and the potential energy is the stored energy in the
body due to its position .it depends on height of the body.
Q. Demo between the interview on science in English.
Q. Who is the founder of modern periodic table.
Dmitri Mendeleev, published their periodi table in 1869
Q. Shortest period and their elements?
The shortest period in the periodic table is the first period, which
contains only two elements: hydrogen and helium.
The periodic table is a table of 118 chemical elements, arranged
in horizontal rows called periods and vertical columns called
groups. The elements in the periodic table are arranged in order
of increasing atomic number.
Period: A new row (period) is started when electron shell has its
first electron and the no electron increase in a period from left to
right.
Group: elements with the same number of electrons in a
particular subshell fall into the same columns
Blocks 4: S.P D,F.
Q. Those elements which has 0 valency are called ? in which
group
they are? What are their names?
They are called noble gases. they are in 8th group. their names are
helium(He), neon(Ne), argon(Ar), krypton(Kr), Xenon(Xe),
Radon(Ra), Oganesson (og).
Q. What is PH?
pH is a measure of how acidic/basic water is. The range goes
from 0 -14, with 7 being neutral. pHs of less than 7 indicate acidity,
whereas a pH of greater than 7 indicates a base.
Q. Real name of mahatma gadhi?
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
Q. Industries in interior sindh ? Industries in mirpurkhas?
Interview#02
Q. Demo: Number Sequence?
Number sequence is a series of numbers that follows a specific
pattern of rule.
Q. Cgpa full form?
Cumulative grade point average.
Q. What is speed and velocity?
Speed is the rate of change of distance while the velocity is the
rate of change of displacement.
Q. Difference between speed and velocity?
Speed is the scaler quantity,it has only magnitude while the
velocity is the vector quantity which has both magnitude and
direction.
Q. What is SAARC SAARC Full form?
It stands for south Asian association for regional corporation. It
promotes social, culture, economic development in south asia. It
is founded in Dhaka on 8 dec,1985.
Q. Why do you went to join for this position if your already S.S?
Interview#03
Q. What is physics?
Physics is the branch of science that deals with the study of
nature. The study of matter, energy and their interactions. The
study of physical processes and phenome’s and laws.
Q. Difference between physical change and chemical change?
Physical change is the change of size, shape and state of matter
not its composition and it is reversible while the chemical change
changes the chemical composition of matter and a new
substance is formed. It involves a chemical reaction and it is
irreversible.
Q. What is DNA & RNA?
Q. What is PH?
A measure of how acidic or basic a substance or solution is. pH is
measured on a scale of 0 to 14. On this scale, a pH value of 7 is
neutral, which means it is neither acidic nor basic. A pH value of
less than 7 means it is more acidic, and a pH value of more than 7
means it is more basic.
Q. Acidic and basic solutions?
Solutions are classified as acidic or basic based on their hydrogen
ion concentration relative to pure water. Acidic solutions have a
higher concentration of hydrogen ion than water, while basic
(alkaline) solutions have a lower concentration of hydrogen ion
then the water. Typically, the hydrogen ion concentration of a
solution is expressed in terms of pH. pH is calculated as the
negative log of a solution’s hydrogen ion concentration.
The stronger the acid, the more readily it dissociates to generate
H\[^+\]. For example, hydrochloric acid (HCl) completely
dissociates into hydrogen and chloride ions when it is placed in
water, so it is considered a strong acid. The acids in tomato juice
or vinegar, on the other hand, do not completely dissociate in
water and are considered weak acids. Similarly, strong bases like
sodium hydroxide (NaOH) completely dissociate in water,
releasing hydroxide ions (or other types of basic ions) that can
absorb H\[^+\]
Q. Demo on Human blood circulatory [Link] of heart,
artery, vein and capillaries?
Q. Coastal cities of Balochistan ( in sequence from Gawadar to
Sonmiani). Mostly I missed?
Q. Buffer solution?
A buffer solution is a solution where the pH does not change
significantly on dilution or if an acid or base is added at constant
temperature. Its pH changes very little when a small amount of
strong acid or base is added to it.
Q. In the last, they asked Names of layers of atmosphere and
where ozone layer is?
Earth's atmosphere is composed of a series of layers, each with
its own specific traits. Moving upward from ground level, these
layers are called the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere,
thermosphere, and exosphere.
Troposphere, clouds and found and aeroplane fly in this layer.
The ozone layer is located in the stratosphere.
Mesosphere, it is coldest.
Thermosphere, hottest, have no oxygen and satellites are found.
Exosphere, no oxygen, closest to sphere and satellites are found.
Interview#04
Q. Demo on thermodynamics and nitrogen cycle?
Q. What is aerodynamic?
Aerodynamics is the study of the motion of air, particularly when
affected by a solid object, such as an airplane wing.
Q. Full form of DNA and RNA and their functions?
Q. Full form of OD in bank/ commerce?
Overdraft, it is a facility where the business or individual can
withdraw an amount of money above their bank balance.
Q. Full form of LBDO?
Left bank outfall drain(LBOD).
Q. Definition of mean, median and mode?
The mean (average) of a data set is found by adding all numbers
in the data set and then dividing by the number of values in the
set. The median is the middle value when a data set is ordered
from least to greatest. The mode is the number that occurs most
often in a data set.
Q. What is frequency distribution?
A frequency distribution shows the frequency of repeated items in
a graphical form or tabular form. It gives a visual display of the
frequency of items or shows the number of times they occurred.
Frequency distribution is used to organize the collected data in
table form.
Q. Define measure of dispersion and measure of central
tendencies and their types?
Central tendency helps us identify a single representative value
around which data tends to cluster, whereas measures of
dispersion tell us how deviated data is from the central value.
Measures of central tendency include mean, median, and mode,
while measures of dispersion include range, variance, standard
deviation, and interquartile range.
Q. What are derivatives of trigonometric functions?
d( sin x)/dx = cos x
d( cos x)/dx = -sin x
d( tan x)/dx = sec2 x
d( cot x)/dx = -cosec2 x
d( sec x)/dx = sec [Link] x
d( cosec x)/dx = -cosec [Link] x

they can change, and the energy that is released or absorbed
when they change.
