In the question number 19 and 20, a statement of Assertion is followed by a statement of
Reason. Choose the correct option:

ASD/TA1/MATH/GRADE 6/SEP/2024-2025
19. Assertion: If a factory manufactures 2,18,567 toys on Monday and 53,204 toys on Tuesday 1
then estimated number of excess toys manufactured on Monday is 1,70,000.

Reason: 53,204 < 2,18,567. As the smaller number has 5 digits, round off both the numbers
to the nearest ten thousand.

218567 → 220000
53204 → 50000
∴ Estimated difference = 2,20,000 − 50,000 = 1,70,000
(A) Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of
Assertion.
(B) Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of
Assertion.
(C) Assertion is true but Reason is false.
(D) Assertion is false but Reason is true.

20. Assertion: 8192657 is divisible by 11. 1

Reason: (Sum of the digits at odd places) + (Sum of the digits at even places) is a
multiple of 11.

(A) Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of
Assertion.
(B) Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of
Assertion.
