Topic 1: Place.
A few years ago, my family and I had an unforgettable trip to Phu Quoc Island. It was a wonderful opportunity for
us to take a break from the busy city life and explore the natural beauty of this stunning(kinh ngạc) island.
When we arrived in Phu Quoc, we were immediately captivated(ngay lập tức bị cuốn hút) by its serene(Thanh
thản) white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and vibrant coral reefs(rạn san hô sống động). The picturesque
scenery(phong cảnh) , combining the sea and coconut trees, created a truly tropical(thực sự nhiệt đới) and
charming(quyến rũ) environment.
Our trip wasn’t just about enjoying the beautiful landscapes; we also immersed ourselves in the local culture. We
visited the lively night market and explored fishing villages, experiencing their unique traditions and daily way of life.
Moreover, our adventure extended(mở rộng) underwater, where we were amazed by the breathtaking(ngoạn
mục) coral reefs and diverse marine life.
Visiting Phu Quoc wasn’t just a vacation, it was an incredible journey to appreciate(đánh giá) nature’s beauty,
discover different cultures, and explore the wonders of the underwater world. These memories will always hold a
special place in our hearts.
Topic 2: Describe a time when you gave good advice to someone.
A couple of years ago, I used to be a rebellious(nổi loạn) student, often neglecting(bỏ bê) the true value of
education. However, everything changed when my father decided to share his life journey filled with
hardships(những khó khăn) and dedication(sự cống hiến). He narrated(kể lại) his struggles growing up in poverty,
starting from selling bread early in the morning at the market and working diligently(siêng năng) after school to
support the family.
What truly impressed(thực sự ấn tượng) me and made me understand the value of education was my father's
unwavering perseverance(sự kiên trì không lay chuyển). Despite financial difficulties during his university years, he
managed his expenses patiently(chi phí kiên nhẫn), making sacrifices(sự hy sinh) to cover living costs and tuition
fees(học phí). Each step in his journey was a continuous dedication(sự cống hiến liên tục) to personal development
and a profound(sâu sắc) lesson in overcoming adversity(vượt qua nghịch cảnh).
Hearing about my father's challenges and efforts truly touched me. It was a pivotal moment when I realized that
education is not just about achieving high grades, but also about expanding(mở rộng) knowledge, nurturing
perseverance(nuôi dưỡng sự kiên trì), and pursuing(theo đuổi) personal goals.
I promised my father that I would devote(cống hiến) myself to my studies, acknowledging(thừa nhận) that
education is the foundation(sự thành lập) for future success. His life story is a precious source of
encouragement(nguồn động viên quý giá), motivating(thúc đẩy) me and providing a profound lesson about
relentless effort in overcoming difficulties.
Topic 3: Describe a popular person (who) you know.
Today, I’m going to be talking about H’Hen Nie, the first Miss Vietnam from an ethnic minority(dân tộc thiểu số),
H’Hen Nie was born into poverty in the central highlands of Vietnam, facing numerous challenges due to outdated
traditions prevalent(phổ biến) in her village, including the pressure(áp lực) to marry at a young age. However, her
determination led her to pursue education against all odds.
In 2017, H’Hen Nie made history by being officially crowned(chính thức đăng quang) as Miss Universe Vietnam,
despite facing societal prejudices(định kiến xã hội) due to her darker complexion(nước da sẫm màu hơn) throughout
the competition(cuộc thi). I first knew about her during this period and started following her on Facebook,
captivated(bị quyến rũ) not just by her stunning appearance but also by her incredible life story.
What sets H’Hen Nie apart(riêng biệt) is her resilience(sức phục hồi) and her commitment(sự cam kết) to giving
back to her community. She became the first Vietnamese contestant(thí sinh) to reach the top 5 at Miss Universe, a
remarkable achievement that inspired(lấy cảm hứng) many. Following her victory, she used a significant
portion(phần) of her prize money to build a free public library in her own village, recognizing(nhận ra) firsthand the
transformative(biến đổi) power of education in the lives of young children.
Moreover, H’Hen Nie has actively engaged(tích cực tham gia) in various volunteer activities, documenting(ghi
chép tài liệu) her efforts on social media to encourage(khuyến khích) others to join her noble cause(mục đích cao
cả). It’s not just her physical beauty that I admire(ngưỡng mộ), but also her unwavering(không lay chuyển)
dedication to community service that makes her exceptionally(đặc biệt) popular.
Topic 4: Object
Today, I’m going to talk about the bamboo solar bike, a remarkable and eco-friendly invention. The bike features
a frame made primarily from bamboo, a material known for its strength and sustainability(bền vững). The natural,
earthy(bình thường) look of the bamboo gives the bike a unique and organic appearance. What makes it stand
out(nổi bật) even more is the integration(tích hợp) of solar panels(pin) that help power an electric motor, making it a
hybrid(kết hợp) between a traditional and electric bike.
I first heard about this innovative bike when researching sustainable(bền vững) transportation options online.
The bamboo frame is lightweight and durable, while the solar panels charge a battery that powers the motor,
helping reduce effort on longer rides or uphill. The motor assists(hỗ trợ) when needed, but the rider can also
rely(phụ thuộc) on pedal power.
What I find particularly interesting about the bamboo solar bike is its environmental impact. It uses renewable
energy from the sun, reducing the need for fossil fuels and minimizing carbon emissions. Bamboo, a sustainable
material, is readily available(có sẵn) in many parts of the world, making the bike an excellent alternative(thay thế) for
greener transportation.
The bamboo solar bike is an inspiring(truyền cảm hứng) invention that combines renewable energy and
sustainable materials, offering(cung cấp) a practical solution(giải pháp thực tế) for reducing our carbon footprint
while promoting eco-friendly travel.
