In this stage of learning, students have a firm foundational knowledge in terms


of Present simple tense, which they have used in previous lessons to talk about
daily routines, habits, and facts (e.g., "He works as a doctor" or "She likes to

people’s personalities and characteristics. Finally, they have experience
with asking and answering simple questions about people, which will support

 In today’s lesson, students will focus on writing descriptions of loved ones (family or friends),
using present simple tense and expanding their use of descriptive adjectives to describe
personality and appearance.
 In the next lesson, students will expand on their descriptive skills by learning how to use
the present continuous tense to describe actions and behaviors in the present moment.

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to write a well-structured


paragraph descrbing their beloved ones (family member or friend),
