REFLECTION
We attended seminar entitled “Invisible Invaders: The Role
of Microbiology and Parasitology in Healthcare” last June 1, 2024 at
Regent Hotel in Naga City, It was a memorable experience for me and
it was successful by the help of our Three Guest Speakers and they
give us such important informations that will gonna help us one in if
we are already working at an Healthcare Workplace. The day started
with the discussion about Antibiotic Resistance and its declining
effectiveness of antibiotics due to overuse and misuse of these life
saving drugs. And From the next Guest Speaker about the Significance
of Food safety, He said that Handwashing is very important and
Ensuring food safety helps to avoid foodborne diseases, which can
cause serious health problems and even death. Proper food safety
standards serve to maintain the quality and nutritional content of
food, therefore benefiting individuals and communities. The
conversation makes it evident that these problems are connected to
one another and that there is a need for an interdisciplinary
approach including the general public and medical professionals.
Reducing the risks connected to diseases linked to healthcare,
foodborne illnesses, and antimicrobial resistance can be accomplished
by emphasizing the need for safe food and antibiotic use. handling,
as well as stringent infection prevention protocols in medical
facilities. Taking everything into account, The Seminar helps
demonstrate a shared commitment to promoting public health and
establishing strategies to effectively deal with these pressing
issues.
Throughout the Seminar, I have now pictured my understanding of
Microbiology and Parasitology and how these affect medical
procedures. I am now invested into this topic and inspired to know
more and I can understand how it is important in resisting danger for
our public health. I have learned a lot. Thank you Sir! And also to
my classmates who helped organize this Seminar!
