Phases of Integrative process BD+C

SR Phases of Integrative process
1 Discovery Phase:
most important phase of the integrative process since it is the earliest stage. The project team is required to complete both
energy and water usage analysis for building systems. It can be a preliminary simple box energy modeling for energy and
calculating amount of indoor, outdoor and makeup water and onsite supply of water including rainfall. The energy model
should address atleast 2 potential strategies for each of the seven categories * site conditions * massing and orientation *
basic envelope attributes *lighting levels *thermal comfort ranges ‫٭‬plug and process loads * programmatic and operational
parameters
2 Design and Construction / Implementation Phase:
Project team should document how energy modeling analysis and water budget analysis affected decisions in OPR and BOD.
for example how energy analysis informed *building and site program* building geometry *Envelope and facade *downsizing of
building systems (HVAC,lighting etc) and how water analysis informed decisions about * plumbing systems *Sewage system
*rainwater quality and quantity *roofing systems *landscaping, irrigation. Also use at least one nonpotable water source to
offset at least two of indoor, outdoor, or process water demand components
3 Occupancy, Operations and Feedback phase:
In this phase, mechanisms are created to measure performance and receive feedback
