To,
The Chief of Hall Warden,
University of Agriculture Faisalabad,
SUBJECT: TO HIGHLIGHT ISSUES FACING STUDENTS AT HAILLEY HALL
We are writing to urgently bring to your attention several critical issues that require
immediate action. While swift measures are often taken against student protests and related
activities, similar urgency is not shown in addressing other pressing matters.
The primary purpose of this application is to highlight the severe problems faced by students
residing in Hailly Hall due to inadequate facilities. We are currently suffering due to the
following urgent issues:
Cleanliness: The cleaning staff, who are supposed to maintain hygiene, often neglect
their duties. This neglect poses significant health risks, as unclean environments can lead
to the spread of infections and illnesses. Students are left with no choice but to clean their
own rooms.
Lighting: The tube lights and switches in the hostel are in poor condition. Students have
had to install their own lighting at their expense, yet the hostel remains dark and
unwelcoming at night.
Room Conditions: The overall condition of the rooms is deteriorating rapidly, which can
contribute to poor living conditions and affect students’ mental and physical well-being.
Canteen: There is no canteen in our hostel to manage stationery needs and provide basic
fast food.
Mess Quality: The quality of food in the mess is subpar, with vegetables and other
cheaper dishes lies between 110 to 130 being a matter of luck.
While students have been managing despite these challenges,
The most critical and urgent issue is the condition of the washrooms on the first
floor. Students are forced to use the ground floor washrooms, which are
overcrowded and often dirty. The distance to these washrooms is also highly
inconvenient. The lack of proper sanitation facilities poses a significant health risk,
as it can lead to the spread of diseases and infections.
Given the ongoing construction work in the university, it is perplexing why such an essential
issue has been overlooked. The washrooms on the first floor are in a dilapidated state and
require urgent repairs. We humbly request that at least one or two washrooms on the first
floor be fixed immediately to alleviate this problem.
We hope that you will consider our request with the urgency it deserves and take prompt
action to improve the living conditions in Hailley Hall.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
The Students Residing at first floor Hailley Hall.
I completely agree with the application.
