Rainforests are warm, wet, and dense forests with tall trees and a closed canopy

that provide a home to over half of the world's plant and animal species:

Rainforests are home to many famous species, including forest elephants, okapi,
gorillas, bonobos, and chimps.
Some other types of rainforests include: subtropical rainforest, littoral rainforest,
cloud forest, vine thicket, and dry rainforest.
