What is your favorite time and place to take pictures?
I usually spend my weekend arriving in mountainous areas to take a lot of
beautiful and memorable pictures. Especially, I prefer to visit mountains in
autumn because natural scenery and weather are fabulous in the autumn. I can
enjoy fresh air and take a large number of photos about animals, special plants,
and traditional costumes of people who live in high mountains.

A: Hi! Welcome to the club. What is your favorite photo?
Hello, glad to talk to you. I really like a picture presenting a waterfall in Cao
Bang province. I saw it last month at my friend's house. The majestic and
fabulous scenery in that picture made a strong impression on me.
B: Hi! What kind of photos do you like to take?
Hi. I am a big fan of World’s natural beauty so all pictures that I took are of
natural scenery. I usually take photos of sunrise and sunset on the sea,
waterfalls in forests, ripe rice fields and so on. I love to see beautiful nature in
the world.
C: Is it good to take pictures with the phone?
In my perspective, taking pictures with the phone is convenient for people. The
phone is smaller and easier to carry than a camera so you could take photos or
save memorable moments quickly anytime and anywhere. With modern and
high-quality phones, you also have high resolution photos as a camera.

divided into several categories including woman. man, and children under 16
years old. That will help correctly evaluate the champion for each category.
Would you like to attend the contest? There are a lot of helpful things you can
learn from contest. Let me know soon!

Dear the manager,
I am Ngoc Anh and I have been a photography club member for 4 years. I am
writing this email to express my feelings and opinions about the club contest
held next month.
According to the email that club sent me last night, the club will organize the
contest and divide it into three categories including woman, man, and children
under 16 years old. I was so happy when I heard that. I think it is a reasonable
division.
That division of the club helps correctly evaluate the champion in each category.
Participants are equal in ability. The aware of woman, man, and children under
16 years old is different so dividing participants into three groups is a wise idea.
I am excited to upcoming contest.
Best regards,
Ngoc Anh.

In my opinion, there is nothing that is more useful than a course to
get knowledge as long as they have a reasonable price. For me, I

I would like to attend an English speaking course to improve my
speaking and talk to foreigners more fluently.
Part 3
D. Hi! Welcome to the college. What course are you doing and why did you
choose it?
Nice to meet you. Actually, I knew that there are many useful courses
which were held there, so that is the main reason why I chose this
college. To be honest, I am expecting to attend an English speaking
course next time, because I have to improve this skill immediately.
E. Welcome! How do you feel about the college so far?
That is a nice question for me. I am so happy about my decision
because of attending this college. Because there are many kind
people there, who are always ready to help me whenever I need to
know some information about a course.
F. Did you hear that the college sports club has closed? What do you think
about this?
Unfortunately, I haven’t heard that the college sports club has closed.
I think this information is so serious, and I felt so disappointed when
I heard about it. Because everybody knows that physical activities are
always very important for our health and the college sports club is no
exception to this rule.

Dear Sir,
My name is Dang Cong Luc and I have been a student of our college
for five months. I am writing this email to you to express my feelings
and suggestions regarding the recent notice I received from our
college.
According to the news, the end of course exams will take place two
weeks earlier than originally planned. Therefore, my exam was
scheduled for the 21st of next month, will now take place on the 7 th of
next month. Honestly, I think this problem is very serious and I was
so disappointed when I heard about it.
In my opinion, you need to consider your decision again because it
totally affects all students at our college who are believing in you and
our college. In particular, I have to cancel my plans on the 7 th of next
month, which are very important for me. Meanwhile, it is not only my
fault, but also others’.
Besides, we need to announce the changing of the schedule, as in the
notice above at least 1 month before. From there, it helps us have
enough time to arrange our plans to fit with the schedule of the
college.
I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep all members
satisfied. I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations
are accepted.
Sincerely,
Dang Cong Luc

A: I usually spend 6 hours a day studying English. How do you learn English?
It sounds great to hear your hard work at studying English. Honestly, I was so lazy

to get a higher level of English by listening to English videos on YouTube every

B: English is a popular language in the world. What are your thoughts on this idea?

from many people because there are more and more new words and phrases are

Dear Sir,

According to the news, there are some different reactions from many people

when I heard about it. Because, I think all matters always have two sides when
we face it to consider clearly.
In my opinion, we should consider this problem as a necessary factor in our
lives because society is getting higher and higher, and our language is too, as
long as we hit the books of good words and avoid bad words.
Besides, we need to have some requirements for using language at our club to
improve the fresh environment. In particular, we need to release some members
who usually speak some new words which are terrible and affect other
members.
I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep all members satisfied. I
look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.

Dear Sir,
My name is Dang Cong Luc and I have been a member of our club for five

regarding the recent notice I received from our club.
According to the news, our club will organize a public meeting for all members.
Honestly, I think this plan is amazing and I was over the moon when I heard
about it.
In my opinion, we are able to choose a venue far from the Hanoi city center,
which has some large conference rooms inside and a huge atmosphere outside.
For example, Ba Vi district and Soc son district, which are all suitable for this
event.
Besides, the main topic that should be held for this meeting is “How to improve
English listening?” because there are more and more people who are
concerning about English listening, not only all members of our club, but also
other people.
I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep our members satisfied.
I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.

FOOD CLUB (ĐỀ 2)

Part 2: What did you eat for breakfast?
I enjoyed a bowl of beef noodle which is the Vietnamese traditional food. It is
so tasty and delicious. I usually eat it at a restaurant near my office before
going to work.
Part 3:
A: Nowadays, lots of people order pizza instead of cooking by themselves
when they are busy, what about you? When you are busy, what do you
usually eat?
From my perspective, fastfood is now really popular in the modern world for
some reasons. Firstly, it’s very convenient because they can save time making
dinner after a hard working day. Secondly, a pizza is usually much cheaper
than homemade meals. When I am busy, I usually enjoy a hamburger because
it is not only easy to buy but also its flavour is very attractive and delicious.
B: Is it important for children to participate in cooking courses at school?
I think it is worth doing that. If children learn how to cook, they could be
independent and take care of themselves. Morover, family members will bond
more when they prepare meals together.
Part 4:
Dear members,
Our food club is planning to encourage young people to cook at home? Can
you give some suggestions and explain them?
Friend:
Dear Tu,
Are you fine these days? We haven’t contacted each other for a long time.
Hope everything goes well with you. I have joined a food club for 5 months.
Nowadays, more and more young people are not interested in cooking at
home, so my club wants us to give some advice to encourage them. Can you
give me some suggestion to solve my club’s problem?
Write me back,
Love,
Lam.
Manager:
Dear Sir,
My name is Do Tung Lam and I have a member of the food club for 5
months. I’m writing this letter to express my feelings and my suggestions for
the announcement that I have received from our club recently.
According the news, I am so sad because fewer and fewer young people are
into cooking by themselves at home. But fortunately, our club cares about
that. It would be great if you can consider my recommendations. First of all,
I think we should invite professional chefs to share some tips for learning to
cook easily. Besides, we can give some talks about the benefits of knowing
how to cook and homemade food to raise people’s awareness. Another
suggestion is to organize a cooking contest for young people because the
competition could make them motivated to try their best.
I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep members satisfied.
I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.
Yours faithfully,
Do Tung Lam.

that . So if your son doesn't like music lessons you give , you
should find out what your son's hobbies are and then nurture and

To be honest , I feel disappointed about the way you manage the
club . Because many times the neighbors have been discontented
to hear the noise of our music shows in the evening .
To make issues better , I would recommend some suggestions .
One alternative is that you can rent another venue for the concert
. I know a very large venue not far from here , and suitable for my
club . People around will not be bothered with noise . Another one
is that you should consider raising membership fees to hold
concerts in the morning or afternoon , to avoid affecting the
neighbors . I believe that a lot of members have the same
suggestion as me . Looking forward to hearing from you soon if
my recommendations are acceptable .

Dear Sir,
My name is Do Tung Lam and I have been a member of the technology club for 5

notice that I have received form our club recently.
According the news, our club recently has had a problem with some members’s
negative comments on our website. Honestly, I think the issue is quite serious and I
felt disappointed when I heard about it.
In my opinion, we should add a function to limit negative comments on the website,
thus protecting the reputation and image of the club as a whole. Morover, I would
also like to suggest another idea. Anyone who has complaints about the club or
other members should discuss it directly with the manager of the club. They should
avoid making bad comments in public. Contacting the manager and figuring out
the solution to improve the situation would be a alternative.
I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep members satisfied.
I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.
Sincerely,
Do Tung Lâm.

Without a doubt, technology plays an increasingly important role in modern life.
You know that this world is connected through technology. For example, you can
talk to someone through smartphones, internet connectivity, GPS, and many more
technologies. We depend so much on it that we can’t even imagine our lives
without technology. Organizing a technology fair is very necessary for our club to

To be honest, I was very excited when I heard about the news because I have
expected it for a long time. I think this is an excellent opportunity for all club
members to show their eloquence and enhance their public speaking skills.
Therefore, I would like to give some recommendations. In my opinion, the
benefit of debating and speaking in public is building confidence and expressing
their ideas eloquently. Furthermore, I think the benefits of debating are not
limited to the skills built while we are speaking, the preparation for competition
teaches critical thinking and research skills.
Hopefully, my suggestions would be helpful for you. I look forward to receiving
an early reply.

Can
you give some suggestions and explain them?

give me some suggestion to solve my club’s problem?

Lam.
Manager:
Dear Sir,
My name is Do Tung Lam and I have a member of the food club for 5

Dear Sir,
My name is Do Tung Lam and I have been a member of the technology club for 5
months. I’m writing this letter to express my feelings and suggestions about the
notice that I have received form our club recently.
Sincerely,
Do Tung Lâm.

announcement that I have received form our club recently.
According the news, our club wants to recruit a volunteer for the upcoming
technology fair. Honestly, I think the plan is amazing and I felt so excited when I
heard about it.
Without a doubt, technology plays an increasingly important role in modern life.
You know that this world is connected through technology. For example, you can
talk to someone through smartphones, internet connectivity, GPS, and many more
technologies. We depend so much on it that we can’t even imagine our lives
without technology. Organizing a technology fair is very necessary for our club to
connect with other clubs and promote our products. If you looks for a volunteer for
this event, I think I can meet your requirements. I am a good communicator, good
organizer, and I work well as a supportive team member. Besides, I had experience
participating in a technology fair before when I was a student.

TRAVEL CLUB

Part 2: Why are you interested in travel?

->I am keen on traveling as I love going out to discover the beauty of the world,
meeting new friends and visiting wonderful places.

Part 3:

[Link] me a time you had a trip in bad weather.

->Last summer, I had a trip with my family to Dalat. However, it was the rainy
season at that time, so it rained cats and dogs throughout our trip. We had to stay at
our hotel most of the time and couldn’t visit anywhere. That trip was kind of
boring and terrible to us.

[Link] a long distance by some means of transportation is not good for the
environment? Do you agree?

->I agree with the statement, using several means of transportation to travel a long
distance can cause some negative effects on the environment. Firstly, the vehicle
will release lots of carbon dioxide that causes air pollution. Secondly, people can
throw trash out on their way which pollutes the environment.

[Link] are the most interesting places to visit in your country?

->My family has various picturesque places, but I suggest you visit HaLong Bay.
Ha Long Bay was recognized as one of seven wonders of the world by UNESCO
because of its natural and poetic scenery.

[Link] is the most exciting journey you’ve been on?

->The most exciting journey that I’ve been on is my 4 days-3 nights trip to
VungTau. Although the time was quite short, I still had enough time to visit the
most picturesque destinations and try all the delicious local food there.

[Link] you remember the first time you went on a journey by yourself? What was it
like?

-> At the present, the memory of the first journey on my own is still vividly
engraved in my mind. It was a beautiful day with light wind and warm sunlight. I
was so excited to have that trip around my village with my bicycle. Everything was
peaceful and mesmerizing that I could never forget.

Part 4: “Dear members, Our club is planning to encourage tourist to visit a

area. We also want visitors coming to our areas to behave politely. Please raise
your voice and give some suggestions for this plan.”
1. Write to your friend and share your suggestions.

Dear Nhi,

How are you these days? I haven’t seen you since the last meeting in our travel
club that we have joined together. I hope everything goes well with you. Did you
receive the email from our club? They have just sent me an email to announce that
they are going to plan to encourage tourists to visit the area. I am so excited about
this plan and have been waiting for months. I think the club should advertise about
the destination on social media so that people could follow and take part in (IT).
They also can make a list of rules about polite behaviors first for visitors while
coming to the area. Do you have any recommendations for this event? Make sure
you write back.

Love,

Thanh

2. Write to the president of the club and give your suggestions.

Dear Ms. Hathaway,

I hope this reaches you in the best things. My name is Thanh Tran and I am
writing this email with regard to express my feelings and suggestions for the
announcement that I have received.

According to the notification, our club is going to plan to encourage visitors

to visit an area. I was so excited when I heard it as I have been waiting for
this event for months. I am willing to share some proposals for our club to
make this plan more attractive.

From my perspective, I recommend our club advertise about the destination

on our club’s website and Facebook so that people can follow and join. In
the advertisement, you can introduce special features of that area, such as
beautiful sceneries, historical places or scrumptious local food in order to
make tourists more excited about the trip. About how to make visitors
behave politely when coming there, our club can make a list of polite
behavior rules and instruct it to everyone before the trip. Therefore, people
will know what they should do and should not do to be elegant.

I am looking forward to your prompt reply.

Yours Sincerely,
Thanh Tran

next two weeks.

According to the email that I have read from the club about the absence of instructor. To
be honest, I was really upset when hearing that news because I want to meet her and
prepared some questions to ask her.

Might I give you my opinion about our club problem? I think you should invite another
instructor to teach us how to use the facilities. I believe that other members have the same

BEAUTIFUL HOMES CLUB
Part 2: Why do you want to join beautiful homes club
I’m really into decorating my home on special occasions. In addition, I want to
live and enjoy a cozy family atmosphere with loved ones. Therefore, I would like
to participate in the beautiful homes club to have many opportunities to discuss
how to find a lot of beautiful furniture to decorate my house.
Part 3:
A: I have a bad relationship with my neighbors because they often
make noise. Tell me how is your relationship with your neighbors?
I highly recommend you talk to them politely and friendly to resolve that bad
problem. You can ask them to turn down the volume when they listen to music
to avoid making noise pollution. Specially, they should keep it peaceful and
quiet at night so that other neighbors can feel relaxed and comfortable after a
hard-working day.
B: Do you prefer living in old buildings or modern buildings? Why?
I prefer living in modern buildings rather than old buildings. Because the old
buildings have been constructed for a long time with a lot of out of date and old
equipment so that I can not feel comfortable and safe to live there. On the other
handopposite, modern buildings facilities are usually new and convenient for
people to live there well.
C: The house should be designed in a way that is good for the
environment. Do you agree?
I can see eye to eye with you. I think that we should construct modern and
durable buildings or houses so that we can live there in the long term. In
addition, I highly recommend we use friendly environment materials to build it.
Moreover, we can design a greenhouse with a wide variety of trees and flowers
in order to create fresh and clean air.
PART 4 :
dear member,
The cost of maintaining old building is very high and these building
take up a lot of space. The government has a proposal that we knock
down old buildings and build more modern blocks.
1, write to a friend (50 words).
Dear Ami,
I haven’t talked to you for a while. How is it going? I hope that you are still well.
Yesterday, I got an email from my beautiful home club’s manager about a new
notification. As you know, the cost of maintaining old buildings is very expensive
and these buildings take up a lot of space. The government suggests that we
knock down ancient buildings and build more modern blocks. To be honest, I felt
confused when I heard that. Could you tell me your opinion? Drop me the line!
Love,
Phuong Luyen.

2. Write to manager club

Dear Sir,

My name is Nguyen Hong Nhung. I have been a member of a beautiful home club
since September. I am writing this email to express my feelings and some
suggestions about the announcement that I have received from our club recently.

According to the news, our club has some troubles with the old buildings. Firstly,
the cost of maintenance is expensive. Secondly, these buildings take up lots of
spaces. Thus, the government will have remedy to solve this issue. For example,
we can break old buildings and build modern ones. To be honest, I think this
upcoming plan is convenient and I was over the moon when I heard about it.

In my opinion, it is the best way to save our money because the old buildings are
not safe and outdated. Therefore, our club should make an appointment to discuss
detailed plans such as ways to demolish, human resources and how much
expenses. After that, we should invite several professional designers in the city to
consult about immediately building new constructions to meet people’s
accommodations as soon as possible.

I have a strong belief that many members within the club share views. I look
forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,

Nguyen Hong Nhung.

Dear Sir,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Tran Thanh Tam and I have been a club member for two
years. I am writing to tell you about the news of the fitness club.
To be honest, I was exceedingly dissatisfied and discontented when I heard this news because it is really
inconvenient and I am sure that this will make every member in the club unhappy and disappointed. From my
point of view, on the one hand, the club should post the information about this notice on social media such as
Facebook or Instagram so that every member can give their suggestions to deal with this matter. On the other hand,
it is better for our club to hold a meeting before the event to collect opinions from our members.
Please take my suggestions into consideration. I look forward to receiving your response soon.
