9. The number of workers required to complete a task and the time taken to complete it are in ________ pr

10. The length of a chord is always ________ than the diameter of the circle.
Section B - Short Answer Questions (20 Marks)

11. If the circumference of a circle is 176 cm, find its radius. (Take pi = 22/7).

12. The time taken to cover a fixed distance is inversely proportional to the speed. If a car travels at

60 km/h and takes 5 hours, how long will it take if it travels at 75 km/h?

13. A circle has a diameter of 21 cm. Find its area. (Take pi = 22/7).

books. How many books will each student get if the number of students increases to 50?

15. The cost of 5 kg of sugar is Rs 200. Find the cost of 8 kg of sugar assuming the price is directly

proportional to the quantity.

16. If 6 workers can build a wall in 15 days, how many days will it take for 10 workers to build the

same wall?

17. Verify whether the following table represents direct or inverse proportion:

x: 10 20 30 40

y: 12 24 36 48

18. A circular park has a radius of 28 m. Find its circumference and area. (Take pi = 22/7).

much time will it take to cover the same distance?

20. The following table shows the relationship between the time taken (t) and the speed (s) of a

vehicle. Verify if the two quantities are in inverse proportion:

t (hours): 10 8 6 4

s (km/h): 40 50 66.7 100

21. A circular flower bed has a radius of 3.5 m. A pathway of 1.5 m width runs around it. Find the

area of the pathway. (Take pi = 22/7).
