Meaning of Temperate Grasslands: -
The grasslands which are found between sub-tropical and sub-polar regions are known as
temperate grasslands.
They are known by different names in different continents, for example,

❖ The Steppes in Asia and Europe,
❖ The Downs in Australia and
❖ The Veld in Africa.
The grasslands are more common in temperate zone where climatic conditions are moderate.
