Installing the original washer along with new washers is crucial to maintain compatibility and ensure that all components fit together correctly. This combination provides the necessary thickness and structural integrity required for the assembly to function as designed, thereby avoiding potential fitting issues and operational faults .

Failing to flat sand the cover if the gasket leaks could result in persistent leakage, compromising the integrity of the mechanical system. This can lead to inefficient operation, potential damage to other components from uncontrolled fluid flow, and ultimately cause system failures, increasing maintenance costs and downtime .

The purpose of grinding the band end of the new pin during the installation process is to ensure that the cover will sit flush with the case when hand-pushed. This step is crucial to achieve proper alignment and fit of the components, which may influence the overall functionality of the assembly .

The significance of using different orifice sizes is to tailor the mechanical system for specific applications. For instance, enlarging the orifice with a .125 drill for snow plowing applications likely allows for greater fluid flow, which is necessary under heavy-duty conditions. Different uses may require varying fluid dynamics to optimize performance, which is why precise orifice sizing is central to the customization process .

Performing an air check on the reverse apply to check for gasket leaks is important because it ensures that there are no leaks that could compromise the integrity and performance of the assembled unit. A leaking gasket might lead to functional failures or reduced efficiency of the mechanical system .

Using both BLUE and YELLOW springs in the reassembly allows for balancing different mechanical forces that the system might encounter. This combination helps in optimizing performance by distributing stress and improving the resilience of the assembly under various operating conditions, thus enhancing system reliability and efficiency .

The inclusion of multiple washers in the assembly serves to balance and distribute forces evenly across the mechanical components. They help in adjusting clearances and ensuring even pressure distribution. This contributes to the reliability and proper functioning of the assembled unit by preventing wear and tear caused by uneven forces .

Resizing the orifice instead of using a furnished one allows for precise control over fluid dynamics according to specific user needs. This customization can optimize performance for intended applications, such as ensuring adequate flow for demanding tasks like snow plowing. It enhances the adaptability and effectiveness of the mechanical system .

The different colored springs in the assembly process likely serve to provide varying tension or compression forces, which are essential for the mechanical system to operate correctly under different conditions. Using specific colors (BLUE & YELLOW) allows for easy identification and correct installations, controlling factors such as pressure and movement within the assembly .

Neglecting the seal installation can lead to fluid leaks, which may result in reduced pressure and loss of mechanical efficiency. This oversight can cause severe operational problems including slipping in transmissions, overheating, or even total failure of the unit due to inadequate lubrication and pressure maintenance .
