Dear Sir/Madam,

Hi, my name is Jan Rey Jove Sagales, a 17-year-old student from San Francisco High School. I’m
writing to share my interest in psychology because I want to help people understand their struggles
and improve their mental well-being.

Being in the HUMSS strand has taught me a lot about how people think, interact, and connect. I’ve
taken courses like Sociology and Philosophy, which have sparked my curiosity to learn more about the
human mind and behavior. Growing up, I’ve also seen how mental health challenges can affect
relationships, and this inspired me to pursue a career where I can make a difference.

I believe becoming a psychologist will allow me to guide people through tough times. In the future, I
hope to contribute to mental health advocacy here in the Philippines, where access to support is often
limited.

Thank you for considering my application. I am excited to learn more and take the next steps toward
my dream of becoming a psychologist.
