THEME: “Transforming Communities through Humanitarian Initiatives”

 The National Service Training Program (NSTP) law or Republic Act 9163 is a program aimed at enhancing civic
consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while
undergoing training in any of its three program components, specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active
contribution to the general welfare of Filipinos.

 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the National Service Training Program – Civic Welfare Training Service
Graduation Ceremony with the theme: “Transforming Communities through Humanitarian Initiatives.”

 Good morning everyone, I am Mr. Elpedio R. Mortella, your host for this day. Special greetings to our College
President and CEO, Mr. Jamesy I. Reyes, to our Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Loreto D. Carandang; to our College
Coordinator, Dr. Joey B. Gutierrez; to the Student Affairs Coordinator and Guest Speaker, Mr. Jhophet D. Osorio; to
our NSTP Instructress, Mrs. Glady P. Dagus; and to all of you, good morning.

 To start this momentous event, may I call on Ms. Shiela R. Irangan for the opening prayer to be followed by the
singing of the National Anthem to be conducted by Ms. Alyanna Jean H. Burgos.

- Opening Prayer and National Anthem -

 Thank you Ms. Irangan and Ms. Burgos. Ladies and gentlemen, you may now be seated.

 And now to formally open this ceremony, may I call on Mr. Jamesy I. Reyes, the College President and CEO to give
his opening remarks.

- Opening Remarks -

 Thank you very much Mr. Reyes for the beautiful remarks.

 The Civic Welfare Training Service of the National Training Program (NSTP) lessons includes both lectures and
practicum. The students taking the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) are expected to learn and acquire the
values and skills in Community Organization and Development through Management, Empowerment, and Social
Mobilization.

 And because of that, your NSTP instructress invited our resource speaker. May I call on Ms. Krystel Charisma L.
Jumanoy to introduce our guest speaker for today’s event.

- Introduction of Gues Speaker -

 ‘Wag na nating patagalin pa, ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome the man behind this success and still one of St.
Anthony’s prides, let us give him a proud of applause, Mr. Jhopet D. Osorio.

- Commencement Address -

 Thank you very much Mr. Osorio for sharing your time and effort with us. May I request the candidates for graduation
to give our commencement speaker an extended and very alive YES clap.

 Thank you very much students!

 Before we proceed in the announcement of special awards, let us all witness the PowerPoint presentations of the
different committees.
 Wow, they are really awesome presentations! I think it is really a memorable one that will be treasured by each of
you.

 The training program you have in your NSTP aims to develop and improve oneself as a community leader and
implementer of the Civic Welfare Programs and Services as mandated by the NSTP under the Republic Act No. 9163
and the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of
National Defense (DND), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

 Ayon nga sa kasabihan na “Ang lahat ng hirap ay may katumbas na sarap.” After undergoing the subject for a year,
learning the basics and the right knowledge needed inside the four corners of the room, and implementing a stressful
yet challenging projects, different individual and group awards will be given to those students who showed their best
among the rest.

 Let’s have first the individual awards. Once again, may I call on Dr. Loreto D. Carandang to award the medals to our
awardees?

 Let’s have the Most Outstanding Member. You are chosen as the Most Outstanding Member, Ms. Ray-Ann Landicho.

 Let’s have the Most Outstanding Leader. Huwag na nating patagalin pa, our most outstanding leader is: from the
Education Committee, Ms. Baby Lyn R. Mortella from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology 1.

 The last individual award is the Most Outstanding NSTP student in terms of Academics. Who among you is the best?
Please come on stage our Most Outstanding NSTP student, Ms. Shiela R. Irangan from the Bachelor in Secondary
Education 1.

 Congratulations awardees and thank you Dr. Carandang. And now let’s proceed to the Group Awards. May I ask Dr.
Joey B. Gutierrez to be assisted by Mrs. Glady P. Dagus to give the awards? May I request the committee leader or
any representative of the committee to receive the certificate?

 Let’s have the Best Project Documentation. Our third place in the Best Project Documentation category is the Values
Formation Committee; our second place is from the Education Committee; and the Best Project Documentation 2014
goes to Environment Committee.

 And now let’s proceed to the Best Project. Best Project third place please come on stage from the Values Formation
Committee.

 Best Project second place is the Safety and Security Committee.

 And the most awaited one the Best Project first place. Congratulations to the Care for Health Committee because you
bag the first place on this category.

 Finally, we have the Best Committee Award. Only one committee is chosen to receive the award for this category.
May I request that all the Committee Leaders come on stage? We want to recognize these leaders who gave their
best to successfully finish their projects. Without them this event is impossible to happen but there is only one
committee to be awarded. And the Best Committee is no other than from the Values Formation Committee.

 Congratulations again leaders. For me you are all winners because it is not that easy to implement a certain project
at your age now.

 Thank you very much Dr. Gutierrez and Mrs. Dagus.

 All incoming freshmen students male and female enrolled in any baccalaureate and in at least two-year technical-
vocational or associate courses, are required to complete one NSTP component of their choice, as a graduation
requirement.

 I want to congratulate each and every one of you for being here. It only means that you all passed the course. And
now let’s proceed to the graduation proper.

 May I call on our very own dynamic and beautiful instructress, Mrs. Glady P. Dagus to award the certificates to our
graduates?

 Congratulations graduates. And now let us all listen the Word of Thanks of Ms. Baby Lyn R. Mortella, the Most
Outstanding Leader.

 Thank you Ms. Mortella for that inspiring speech. And now may I ask the graduates to stand and sing the College
Hymn and the Graduation Song.

 Thank you Mrs. Dagus. In your Pledge of Commitment it has been said at the last part that NSTP cares, right? In
behalf of the St. Anthony College we want to say that we are not only cares but SAC do cares. With that
congratulations students and once again I am Sir Elpie and now I’m signing off. Thank you and hope to see you next
school year here!
