TEST 1

Some people feel that entertainers (e.g. film stars, pop musicians or sports stars) are paid too
much money. Do you agree or disagree?
Which other types of job should be highly paid?

In modern society, there is a heated debate about whether entertainers, including movie stars,
pop musicians, or athletes, are overpaid. Some people think that the salaries they receive are excessive
compared to their actual contributions to society. However, I do not completely agree with this view.
Below, I will analyze why some professions, including entertainers, deserve to receive high
remuneration, and propose other jobs that should also be paid fairly.

First, the high salaries that artists receive are not random but the result of many factors.
Entertainers, especially movie stars or athletes, often create great cultural and spiritual value for
society. They are the ones who inspire, bring the public moments of entertainment, relaxation, and even
help raise social awareness through works of art or sports activities. We cannot deny that cinema,
music, and sports have a strong influence on people's emotions and lives.

However, paying high salaries to entertainers does not mean that other jobs do not deserve to
receive the recognition they deserve. In fact, there are many other important professions whose work is
rarely noticed or paid appropriately, but which play an essential role in the functioning of society.

One of them is doctors, nurses and health workers. Especially in the context of the COVID-19
pandemic, we have witnessed the great sacrifices of health workers, who are directly facing the risk of
epidemics, protecting public health. However, they do not always receive high salaries commensurate
with their dedication. Doctors and nurses are important in saving lives and maintaining the health of
society, so they deserve to receive higher salaries.
In addition, teachers also play a very important role in society, but their salaries in many places are still
low. Education is the foundation for social development, and teachers help shape and develop the
thinking of future generations, while imparting humanistic values. However, because their work is not
as prominent as that of entertainers, teachers are often overlooked and not paid accordingly.

In short, paying high salaries to entertainers is reasonable considering the spiritual and cultural
values they bring to society. However, we also need to recognize that many other jobs such as doctors,
nurses, teachers, or workers in essential industries also deserve high salaries, commensurate with their
contributions to society. For a fair and sustainable society, it is necessary to adjust reasonable salaries
for all important occupations.
