Course Objectives
The course objective is to equip the students with a good knowledge on
To study Per unit computation
To study transient stability of radial power systems under three phase fault conditions.
To develop admittance and impedance matrices of interconnected power systems.
To solve power flow problem for simple power systems.
To perform fault studies for simple radial power systems.
To study optimal generation scheduling problems for thermal power plants.
Course Outcomes
Able to develop MATLAB programs for computation of power system components in per units
Develop programs in MATLAB to formulate bus admittance and bus impedance matrices of
interconnected power systems.
Develop programs in MATLAB to solve power flow problem for simple power systems.
Develop programs to study unsymmetrical faults at different locations in radial power systems
Develop programs to study optimal generation scheduling problems for thermal power plants
