I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son,
our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from
the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from
there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass
against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

We pray that God, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, will increase our faith!

Joyful mysteries (Monday and Saturday)

1. The Annunciation
And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold,
you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. And Mary said,
“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel
departed from her. (Lk 1, 30.31.38)

2. The Visitation
In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered
the house of Zechari′ah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the
babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. (Lk 1, 39,41)

3. The Nativity
Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is
called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David. And while they were there, the
time came for her to be delivered. And she gave birth to her first-born son and wrapped him in
swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. (Lk 2,
4.6.7)

4. The Presentation in the Temple

When the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to
Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens
the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”). (Lk 2, 22.23)

5. The Finding in the Temple

When the feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His
parents did not know it. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers,
listening to them and asking them questions. (Lk 2, 43.46)

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our Life, our Sweetness, and our hope. To thee we cry, poor
banished children of Eve. To thee we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then most gracious advocate, Thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show
unto us, the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Amen!

Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,

That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Let us pray: O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for
us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the
Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they
promise, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

One Our Father..., Three Hail Marys..., and one Glory be... in honor of the Holy Trinity, according to
the intentions of the Holy Father Pope and for the needs of the Church.

Luminous mysteries (Thursday)

1. The Baptism of Jesus

In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And a
voice came from heaven, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.” (Mk 1, 9.11)

2. The Wedding of Cana

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now six stone jars were standing there,
for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. When the steward of the feast
tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who
had drawn the water knew), the steward of the feast called the bridegroom. This, the first of his signs,
Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him. (Jhn 2,

3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying,
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mk 1,
14.15)

4. The Transfiguration
Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up
on the mountain to pray. And as he was praying, the appearance of his countenance was altered,
and his raiment became dazzling white. (Lk 9, 28.29)

5. The Institution of the Eucharist

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples
and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to
them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many
for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I shall not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I
drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” (Mt 26, 26-29)

Sorrowful mysteries (Tuesday and Friday)

1. The Agony in the Garden

Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsem′ane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit
here, while I go yonder and pray.” And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, “My
Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
(Mt 26, 36.39)

2. The Scourging at the Pillar

So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barab′bas; and having scourged
Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. (Mk 15, 15)

3. The Crowning with Thorns

And the soldiers led him away inside the palace (that is, the praetorium); and they called
together the whole battalion. And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple
cloak, and put his own clothes on him. And they led him out to crucify him. (Mk 15, 16.20)

4. The Carrying of the Cross

And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak, and put his own
clothes on him. And they led him out to crucify him. And they compelled a passer-by, Simon
of Cyre′ne, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry
his cross. (Mk 15, 20.21)

5. The Crucifixion
When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his
mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And
from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. After this Jesus, knowing that all was
now finished, said (to fulfill the scripture), “I thirst.” A bowl full of vinegar stood there; so they
put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received
the vinegar, he said, “It is finished”; and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (Jhn 19,
26-30)

Glorious mysteries (Wednesday and Sunday)

1. The Ressurection
Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The
doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.”
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand,
and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord
and my God!” (Jhn 20, 26-28)
2. The Ascension
Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed
them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshiped him, and returned to
Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple blessing God. (Lk 24, 50-53)

3. The Coming of the Holy Spirit

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound
came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them. And they
were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance. (Acts 2, 1-4)

4. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Immaculate Virgin, after completing her earthly life, was raised to heaven in body and soul, to
become completely similar to her Son Jesus, the Victor over sin and death.

5. The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet,
and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and I heard a great voice from the throne saying, “Behold,
the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed
away.” (Rev 12, 1; 21, 3-4)
