said customers and the company location).

1.3 AIM OF THE STUDY

The main aim of this project is to design a customer relation and interaction management
software where customers can easily express their user experience on either satisfaction or
dissatisfaction on product or service.

 To provide a database that keeps the records of customers complaints.
 To create a flatform that keeps track of each user complaints and feedbacks to complaints
by creating a ticket with a unique ticket-id to each these complaints.
 To implement and test the system.
1.5 SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The scope of the project is to design and implement an automated system for customers
feedbacks on products/ services. We automate the task of:

 Creating Tick and unique ticket-id for each complaint

 Easy and friendly user interface.
 Web development
1.6 LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
The work is limited to the following:
 The propose application only manage user complaints.
 Financial constraint.
 Time constraints.
 Poor internet facilities inaccessible websites.

1.7 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In order to achieve the objective of this work, it is necessary to apply the appropriate methods in
accomplishing the goal. After series of feedbacks gotten from people, using face-to-face
interview and questionnaires, the following tools is considered to be use to accomplish the goal:
1. Application front-end design: Programming languages which includes HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, will be use to design the user interface known as the front-end, so as to design a
friendly user interface.
2. Application back-end design: Programing languages which includes PHP and AJAX will
be use at the back-end.
3. Database design: PHPMYADMIN will be used for the database design while MYSQLI
will be use as the query language.

1.8 DEFINITION OF TERMS

Verification and Validation (V-shaped) model: is an extension of the waterfall model and is
based on the association of a testing phase for each corresponding development stage. This
means that for every single phase in the development cycle, there is a directly associated testing
phase. This is a highly-disciplined model and the next phase starts only after completion of the
previous phase.

Web-based Platform: - Is a web environment. It is a program that is accessed over a network

connection using HTTP, rather than existing within a device’s memory. Web-based application
often runs inside a web browser.
Application: - Application is any material, product or a program which is designed for end-user
to use.
Programming: - Programming is the process of taking an algorithm and encoding it into a
notation, a programming language, so that it can be executed by a computer.
XAMPP: - Is a free and open-source cross-platform wen server solution stack package
developed by Apache Friends, consisting mainly of the Apache HTTP Server, MariaDB
database, and interpreters programming languages (Wikipedia – [Link]).

Transitioning from a sales maximization focus to customer satisfaction is critical for companies to achieve sustained competitive advantage. In the long term, prioritizing customer satisfaction fosters brand loyalty, leading to repeat purchases and positive word-of-mouth referrals. This shift can significantly enhance a company's reputation and market share. While sales maximization can provide short-term profitability, it often neglects quality and trust, potentially leading to customer dissatisfaction and attrition. Therefore, focusing on customer satisfaction ensures a sustainable business model by building a lasting relationship with customers .

Implementing a ticketing system for handling customer complaints offers several potential benefits. It provides a structured, organized way to track and manage customer issues, ensuring each complaint is addressed promptly. This transparency can improve customer trust and satisfaction, as customers can track the status of their complaints. It also enables businesses to analyze complaint data to identify common issues, improve products or services, and prevent future dissatisfaction. Furthermore, it enhances accountability within customer service teams, as each complaint is systematically documented with assigned responsibility .

Marketing theories have evolved from the 4P model, emphasizing 'Product, Price, Place, Promotion,' to more customer-centric models like 4C and 4R. The 4C model focuses on 'Consumer wants and needs, Cost, Convenience, Communication,' while the 4R stresses 'Relevancy, Response, Relation, Return.' These theories signified a paradigm shift towards understanding and fulfilling customer needs rather than prioritizing product-centric strategies. This transition is supported by empirical studies indicating that being close to the customer is a hallmark of successful corporations, prompting companies to adopt a customer-focused management philosophy .

Empirical studies play a crucial role in shaping customer-focused corporate strategies by providing evidence-based insights into consumer behavior and preferences. Such studies validate the effectiveness of close customer relationships and have revealed that customer-centric approaches contribute significantly to corporate success. These insights encourage businesses to shift from traditional product-focused strategies to more interactive, personalized customer interactions, utilizing CRM platforms to foster loyalty and drive growth. Empirical evidence thus guides strategic decisions, promoting the adoption of integrated, consumer-oriented management practices .

Technological advancements such as improved office automation, enhanced computer skills among staff, and global e-commerce have significantly facilitated the adoption of CRM in modern enterprises. These advancements enable businesses to operate more efficiently, offering user-friendly platforms for marketing and direct customer interactions. Technologies like web-based CRM systems allow businesses to better manage customer relationships and offer seamless services, ultimately transforming traditional business practices to more digital and customer-focused approaches .

Companies struggle with obtaining customer feedback due to logistical challenges such as long queues for customer service and the physical distance between customers and company locations. These barriers discourage customers from providing feedback, thereby impeding companies' ability to address issues promptly. This lack of feedback can lead to unresolved customer dissatisfaction, subsequently damaging customer loyalty and the company's reputation if dissatisfied customers share their negative experiences with others .

Enterprises in Nigeria aim to enhance customer value by developing business strategies that integrate automated solutions across various functional departments like sales, marketing, and customer service. The creation of a customer-facing platform is essential, utilizing electronic information technology to support CRM initiatives. This involves shifting management focus from product-centric to customer-centric practices, encouraging enterprises to foster customer loyalty by valuing personalized consumer experiences. These strategies create more personalized and engaging customer interactions, essential for maintaining competitiveness within a fiercely competitive market .

The development of CRM in Nigeria was driven by economic factors such as the competition between producers and consumers, leading to a shift in enterprise management philosophy and consumer value choice. As enterprises sought profit maximization amid increased inventories and competition, they gradually shifted focus from merely production control to emphasizing customer satisfaction. This transition occurred in stages: from a seller's market focused on product demand, to pursuing profit maximization through marketing, and finally to prioritizing customer satisfaction due to more personalized and diverse consumer needs .

The development and implementation of the CRM system described are hindered by financial constraints, time limitations, and inadequate internet infrastructure which can result in inaccessible websites. To address these challenges, companies may need to secure better funding or reallocate existing resources efficiently, prioritize critical functionalities within time restrictions, and work with internet service providers to improve connectivity. Additionally, incremental improvements and scalable solutions may be considered to gradually overcome these limitations while meeting fundamental user needs .

The proposed customer relation and interaction management software aims to resolve customer dissatisfaction by providing a user-friendly interface for expressing feedback and complaints. It includes a database to record customer complaints and tracks each through a unique ticketing system. This structure ensures that customer issues are documented systematically, facilitating prompt resolution and feedback. By managing user complaints efficiently and encouraging direct communication, the system is designed to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty .
