INTRODUCTION

A building construction project can be divided into many work packages. A work package can then be allocated to and accomplished by an
individual worker or a crew. A crew can be described as a group of workers. These workers may be from the same trade or may be from a
combination of many different trades. Different tasks involved in the construction of a building need many types of craftsmen from various
trades.
A production rate is defined as the number of units of work completed by a worker in a definite time period. Production rates may specify in
the form of time in man-hours or man-days necessary to produce a specified number of units of work.
Daily working hours assumed to be 8 working hours.

MEASURING OF MAN-HOUR PER (EQUIVALENT) UNIT

This indicator is for measuring the workload necessary to produce one unit of a product. This is calculated by dividing the total number of
hours worked by staff on the product line by the number of product pieces produced, in a given time period (e.g., 1 day).
This is a very useful KPI to measure the man effort and cost that is used to produce one unit, and the aim of the company will be to minimize
this whilst keeping quality standards and maximizing profits. Strategies and systems may be put in place to achieve this.

Crew ID
 The ID of each crew consists of 4 levels, the first letter of level one indicates for civil, mechanical, architecture, electrical for example: - letter “C”
indicates for Civil Works.
 The first letter of level two indicates for the serial number of crew according to first level
 The third level shows a summary of the activity names for the crew
 The fourth level indicates for the serial number of activities according to level three

*Note:
 The above-mentioned productivity rates for excavation are for level of 1.5m deep.
 The daily productivity rate of excavation should be reduced by 12% for every 1.5m deep and maximum of 50% reduction.
 The daily productivity rate of excavation should be reduced by 30% for the excavation of separated foundations.
 The daily productivity rate of excavation should be reduced by 35% for the excavation of trenches.
