2011 Lower Six Telematch Report

2011 LOWER SIX ORIENTATION WEEK TELEMATCH REPORT

Date Time Location

:13 May 2011 :8.00am-10.00am :School field,hall and areas around it.

General instruction: a) 5 stations is set up in the areas round the school field and hall where each station is a type of physical games designed to challenge players on their stamina and determination. b) There will be 10 groups of Lower Six students that are divided to their respective groups and 1 group of Upper Six students that is going to participate in this Telematch. This is to create interaction between the lower and upper Pre-U students. c) Announcment will be given to the Lower Six students so that they can wear suitable attire for the Telematch. d) Each team will be given a station to start with but they are required to get 5 signature from 5 facilitators that in-charge the stations. e) The team that win in a station will get 3 marks and the losed team will get 1 mark. f) The team that get the highest marks after completed all the 5 stations will be the winner. g) Prizes will be given to the 1st place winner in a simple prize giving ceremony after the Telematch. h) An estimation of 2 facilitators will be placed at every station.

Station 1: Three-Legged Race


Two teams will compete with each other. All team members are required to participate in this game. All of them will form pairs and the pairs will have one of their legs tied together with their partner. To increase the difficulty, each pairs have to use their hand to carry water from a pail and transfer it into a bottle. The process will be repeated by other pairs. The team which can transfer more water into the bottle in a given time will be the winner and get 3 marks. Facilitator-in-charge will give a signature to each team when the teams have completed the challenge and they can move to next station.

Station 2: Charade
Two teams will compete with each other. All team members are required to participate in this game. Each team will be divided into pairs. One of the pairs will draw a piece of paper from a box and understand the question in the paper. Then, he/she will use some action to give tips to teammate. His/her teammate will guess the answer. The process will be repeated by other pairs. The team which can answer more questions correctly in a given time will be the winner and get 3 marks. Facilitator-in-charge will give a signature to each team when the teams have completed the challenge and they can move to next station.

Station 3: Drink Lemon Juice


Two teams will compete with each other. All team members are required to participate in this game. Every member from a team will be given a glass of drink and give an expression to let another team to guess what they have drink. The team that get the more correct answers will be the winner and will be given 3 marks. Facilitator-in-charge will give a signature to each team when the teams have completed the challenge and they can move to next station.

Station 4: Step on the Number


Two teams will compete with each other. All team members are required to participate in this game. Each team will be divided into pairs. One of the pairs will draw a piece of paper from a box and understand the question in the paper. Then, he/she will give instruction to his/her teammate to step on the number on the floor to answer the question. The process will be repeated by other pairs. The team which can answer more questions correctly in a given time will be the winner and get 3 marks. Facilitator-in-charge will give a signature to each team when the teams have completed the challenge and they can move to next station.

Station 5: Whispering
Two teams will compete with each other. All team members are required to participate in this game. Each team are required to line up. The 1st person in each team will listen to a phrase from facilitator-in-charge . The phrase may be in Malay,Chinese,English or Tamil. The 1st person then tell the phrase to the next person. The process will be repeated until the last person in the line. The last person will speak the phrase to facilitator-in-charge. Facilitator-in-charge will determined whether the answer is correct. The team which can answer more questions correctly in a given time will be the winner and get 3 marks. Facilitator will give a signature to each team when the teams have completed the challenge.
