The hardware required for the development, the two servers and one
drone arrived on time, we will start the development as listed and defined

[Link] DEVELOPMENT PROCESS (ASHISH SHARMA)

1. Overcoming DJI Drone Limitations: Since DJI drones don’t natively support onboard facial
recognition, we’ll implement a specific setup that streams the video feed from the drone to an
external processing unit. This allows us to handle facial recognition externally, overcoming the
drone’s hardware limitations.

2. Python Integration: I’ll use Python as our primary language, leveraging the DJI SDK to interact with
the drone and access its video feed. This will be paired with Python’s robust AI and image processing
libraries to enable real-time detection and processing.

3. Facial Recognition Using OpenCV and Deep Learning Models: We’ll use OpenCV for processing the
video feed, paired with a deep learning facial recognition model. This setup allows accurate and quick

matching of faces from our database, essential for real-time use.

4. Data Handling via Firebase: Firebase will serve as our cloud database for storing facial data. In
online mode, the system will connect to Firebase to check and match faces with the most current
records. We’ll also sync this data periodically for offline use.

5. Offline Functionality: I’ll ensure offline functionality by storing a local copy of the database on the
edge device used for processing. This local database will sync with Firebase whenever connectivity is
available, ensuring data remains up-to-date even when offline.

6. Security and Optimization: Security measures will be in place to protect facial data during
transmission and storage. Additionally, processing optimizations will ensure that the system remains
responsive and reliable in real-time.

3. HARDWARE ENCRYPTION ([Link])

For hardware encryption, homomorphic encryption is sufficient, but for data encryption, AES-256 is
ideal for fast and efficient continuous encryption of large amounts of data, as it can be used in
2 different ways.

Continuous monitoring and control

It is important to know that unexpected events and changes often occur during projects, which can
create new risks or modify existing ones.

Regular meetings: The project team holds regular meetings where they discuss the status of the
project, identify new risks and evaluate existing ones.

Risk management:

Risk identification and assessment.

The risk management plan should be updated continuously throughout the project as new risks may
emerge or the significance of existing risks may change.

Weekly Report
Modification of the project plan: If the risk has a significant impact on the project, the project plan
must be modified.

Quality assurance:

Test design and execution.

Code review.

Static code analysis.

In order to ensure quality, monitoring is constantly adapted to the project in order to manage its
risks.
