Fuji’s Sermon
Ps. Fuji’s sermon on overcoming stagnation in life offered profound insights into how we can
move forward in our spiritual journey. He used the example of Israel in Joshua 18:1-6 to
illustrate how they had become complacent and stopped pursuing God's calling. This was a
wake-up call that resonated deeply with me, urging me to evaluate whether I, too, have been
stagnant in my walk with God.
One of the first points Ps. Fuji made is about the importance of waking up to God’s vision for our
lives. God has given us authority, anointing, and faith to conquer obstacles, but often, we fail to
utilize these gifts due to fear and the comfort zone we settle into. Fear, he emphasized, can
suffocate our faith when we perceive challenges as too overwhelming. The comfort zone, on the
other hand, is often our default because it feels safe and logical. Yet, Ps. Fuji reminded us that if
we step out in faith, God will do greater things than we can imagine, as highlighted in Ephesians
3:20. This reminder challenged me to confront my own fears and step out of the comfortable
spaces I’ve been hiding in. The example of Joshua stopping the sun and God sending stones to
defeat the Amorites reassured me that God is with us when we take bold steps toward His will.
The second point that stood out to me was the necessity of having a real method or plan based
on the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Ps. Fuji stressed that we must pray, seek spiritual vision,
and act in obedience. This is an essential reminder because without clear direction and action,
our faith can easily become passive. It made me reflect on how often I have prayed for guidance
without following through with concrete steps. Ps. Fuji’s call to align our actions with what God
has placed in our hearts through the Holy Spirit was a powerful challenge to my own prayer life.
Lastly, Ps. Fuji discussed the importance of strategy in building structure and infrastructure. He
explained that we cannot approach our mission half-heartedly; we must be fully invested in the
work God has planned for us. This struck me because, too often, I have attempted to pursue
goals without fully committing or understanding the long-term vision. His words served as a
reminder that even though the destination is set, we need to be adaptable and flexible as we
walk through life’s seasons.
Reflecting on my own spiritual journey, I realized that it’s time for a change. I need to shift my
mindset from survival mode to conqueror mode. This transformation requires me to tap into the
power of the Holy Spirit, who will reveal His plans for me, and I must respond with obedience.
It’s clear to me that growth is not only about personal development but about cultivating
relationships that inspire others to grow as well. Ps. Fuji’s emphasis on adaptation and continual
learning challenged me to think about how I can remain open to new ideas and innovations in
my ministry.
Furthermore, he encouraged a new commitment to God’s calling and highlighted the importance
of taking small, consistent steps forward. The idea of overcoming inertia to "roll the ball"
resonated deeply with me. Often, it’s not the big leaps that are most difficult, but the initial push
to get started. Ps. Fuji’s words reinforced the importance of building stamina and staying
focused on God's purpose. As I reflect on my own life, I realize that sustaining this momentum
requires perseverance and a deep, unwavering trust in God’s promises.
In conclusion, Ps. Fuji’s sermon reminded me that as members of the body of Christ, we need
regular spiritual refreshment. We may know that we are anointed, but how often do we fail to act
within that anointing? It’s crucial to take our faith beyond the theoretical and apply it to real-life
challenges. I am reminded to embrace courage, trust in God’s will, and be willing to step out of
my comfort zone. Only then can we glorify God and fulfill the mission He has called us to.
