Who was the first people who protest?
In 1930 Mahatma Gandhi and other indians walk over the west over Gujarat to get
salt from the sea. They did this because the british want them to buy their salt
then let them make it themself, so they protest by just getting salt, but they
didn’t hurt anybody but instead they protest peacefully.
Mahatma Gandhi was the first one to protest peacefully on the protest with the
british with their taxes. They walk on foot for 240 miles in 24 days this was the
first of many that protests.
What Is a Protest?
A protest is where people go to the downtown or city hall and they stand outside
yelling and holding signs over something that is not fair and they try to make it
fair. For example in 1955 when martin Luther King Jr had a dream speech, they had
a BIG protest to make it fair for black people to have the same rights as white
people.

What does a protest do?
A protest fights for our freedom and rights to make the US a better place to live
in so other people from different states can live in the US and have freedom.
Protest can make the states a better place because other people can join the
protests to fight for the rights we don't have.
How does a protest work?
First people go door to door asking them if they want to be in your protest and
have a good reason for it. Then the people go in one big crowd and fights for our
freedoms and rights to make the world a better place to live in so people have more
freedom.
