Acknowledgement : - I would like to thank the entire peer group of mine in
Udaipur city. With whom I visited all the areas of Udaipur and surrounding , I would
like to thank my all local friends who help me to plan and organized my trip more
easily. I also thank to Kavish tours & travel, who was always ready to clarify my
doubts and helped me to increase my knowledge by illustrating me to the finer
points. I wish to express my deep gratitude to all the concerned persons, whose
enthusiasm support and co-ordination has gave me a wonderful experience through
out the time I was in Udaipur which helped me for this project. I hope that my report
will reflect my experiential knowledge and understanding, which I gained in Udaipur
city.

Discover iconic Udaipur:- Picturesque and elegant , Udaipur is known by


many names including “the city of Lakes " . Undoubtedly one of India's most
romantic cities , it nestles between the glassy waters of it's famous lakes and the
ancient Aravelli Hills .
Although it is one of Rajasthan's largest cities , modern Udaipur manages to retain a
charming Small town vibe . At the heart of the city lies the serene Lake Pichola , with
the old city sprouted along its east bank .
Built along a series of gentle hills , narrow winding streets , full of abrupt twirls and
turns . give way to spectacular marble palaces , hibiscus-laden gardens , sparkling
fountains and Pavilions . This dreamy destination has inspired many an artist and
literary enthusiast.

Pre - Description :- we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt


gratitude for giving your time and attention to this Udaipur project . crafting this
Project was a love , and I was poured countless hours . and immense effort into
ensuring that it encapsulates . the true ensuring that essence of
Udaipur- the enchanting city of lakes .
Udaipur , with its majestic palaces , rich heritage , and warm hospitality , has the
power to captivate and mesmerize all who visit . Every earner tells a story , and every
vista holds the promise of beauty , we wanted to share this love affair with Udaipur
through this project .

Justification behind this Project : - Justification behind this


Project in down billow - Udaipur is a city municipal Corporation in Udaipur district of
the state of Rajasthan , India . It is also known as the " City of Lakes " . It is the
administrative headquarter of Udaipur district . It is the historic capital of the
kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency . It was founded in 1559 by Udai
singh of the sisodia clan of Rajputs , when he shifted his capital from the city of
Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar . It remained as the
capital city fill 1818 when it became a British princely state , and there after the
Mewar province become a part of Rajasthan when India gained independence in
[Link] was in Udaipur that legendary Maharana pratap was born . Rana Pratap who
fought against emperor Akbar in 1576 is remembered throughout India for his
bravery on the battlefield . The rulers of Udaipur never gave any of their women in
marriage to the Mughals unlike some of the other royal houses of Rajputana Udaipur
(“City of the Sunrise”) was made the capital of the princely state of Udaipur
( Mewar ) in 1568 by Maharaja udai Singh after the sack of Chittorgarh . A walled city
, it stands on a ridge crowned by the maharaja’s city palace , which was begun in
1570 .
Besides lakes , Udaipur is also known for its historic forts and palaces , museums,
galleries,natural locations and gardens,architectural temples , as well as traditional
fairs,festivals and Structures Due to the several lakes present here,it is sometimes
dubbed “Venice of the East” . The city Palace was built concurrently with the
establishment of the Udaipur city by Maharana Udai singh and his successor
Maharanas over a period of the next 400 years . The Maharanas lived and
administered their kingdom from this Palace, thereby making the palace complex an
important historic land mark .
Udaipur , also known as the city of lakes, is one of the most visited tourist places in
Rajasthan . Located around stunning water lakes and enveloped by the Aravalli Hills
in all directions, Udaipur is known for its azure lakes, magnificent palaces, vibrant
culture and delectable food.

1. Trip to Udaipur:-

i. City Palace- The City Palace in Udaipur is a stunning architectural gem nestled in
the enchanting city. It serves as a testament to the opulence and grandeur of
Rajasthan’s royal past. The palace, standing tall on the banks of Lack Pichola, offers
breathtaking views of the surrounding [Link] majestic palace complex
showcases a perfect blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. It features
intricately carved balconies, courtyards adorned with colorful frescoes, magnificent,
and splendid pavilions.

ii. Sajjangarh Fort- Udaipur, Rajasthan, perched atop the Aravalli Halls, it offers
Panoramic views of the city's majestic skyline and the surrounding countryside.
Bight in the late 19th century by Maharana Sajjan Singh, the fort served as a retreat
and observatory. Its strategic Position provides an ideal vantage point to witness
breathtaking Sunsets especially during the monsoon season when the sky transforms
into a canvas of vibrant colors.

iii. Lake Fatehsagar- Fatehsagar Lake is a picturesque artificial lake located in


Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
Known for its serene beauty and captivating Surroundings .

iv. Lake Pichola - Lake Pichola is a stunning freshwater lake located in the heart of
Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is one of the most iconic and picturesque attractions in the city
known for its ethereal beauty and historical significance.

v. Jagdish Temple- Jagdish Temple is dedicated to Lard vishun, specifically to his


form as Load Jagannat. The architecture of Jagdish Mandir. Showcases a blend of
Indo- Aryan and Mughal styles . the temple's towering shikharas, intricately carved
pillars , and exquisite sculptures display remarkable craftsmanship.

vi. Vintage car Museum- The vintage car museum is a captivating attraction located
in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is a haven for automobile enthusiasts and history buffs ,
show casing a remarkable Collection of vintage and classic cars form different eras.

vii. Gangaur Ghat- Gangaur Ghat is a picturesque and vibrant water front promenade
located in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Situated on the eastern bank of Lake Pichola, it is one
of the mast enchanting spots in the city, offering a delightful blend of cultural
heritage, scenic beauty, and a lively atmosphere.

viii. Ambrai Ghat- Ambrai Ghat provides breathtaking views of the city palace
complex, including the majestic Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, which are illuminated in
the evenings , creating a magical atmosphere . It is a popular destination for locals
and tourists alike, offering a serene and picturesque place.

ix. Saheliyon Ki Bari- Saheliyon Ki Bari was designed as a recreational spot for the
royal ladies and their attendants. providing them a serene retreat form the bustling
Palace life. The garden is adorned with fountaling, kiosks, marble pavilions, and lush
greenery, creating a tranquil and aesthetically pleasing ambiance .

x. Badi Lake- Badi Lake is an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts and bird
watchers, as it attracts a variety of migratory and local bind species. The tranquil
environment and the surrounding greenery make it an ideal habitat for avian life,

Udaipur old city Darshan:- Udaipur old city Darshan is a captivating town that
takes you on a journey through the historical and cultural heart of Udaipur. This
narrow lanes, Jagdish temple, Gangaur ghat and Ambrai ghat with some
mesmerizing views of the city of lakes.

Trip around Udaipur:-

i. Nathdwara- Nathdwara is a town located in Rajsamand district of the state of


Rajasthan, India . It is renowned for its famous temple dedicated to Lord
Shrinathji, an incarnation of Lord Krishna. The word “Nathdwara” literally
translates to “Gateway to Shrinathji”.

ii. Eklingji- The Eklingji Temple is an ancient and revered shrine that dates book to
the 8th century. It is one of the most important temples dedicated to Lord Shiva
in Rajasthan. The temple complex consists of several temples, with the main
temple being dedicated to Lord Eklingji, an incarnation of Lord Shiva.

iii. Haldighati- Haldighati is a historic mountain Pass Located in the Aravalli Range
of Rajasthan India . It is renowned for its significant role in Indian history
particularly the Battle of Haldighati, which took place in 1576.

Chittorgarh Rajasthan, India. It is one of the largest and most historically
significant forts in the country, renowned for its architectural splendor and tales
of valor and sacrifice. The fort stands proudly atop a hill, overlooking the city of
Chittorgarh. It spans over a vast area, covering approximately 700 acres.

vii. Sanwaliya Seth- Badi Lake is an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts and
birdwatchers, as it attracts a variety of migratory and local bird species The
tranquil environment and local bird species. The tranquil environment and the
surrounding greenery make it an ideal habitual for avian life. Providing a
captivating experience of bird lovers.

Transportation in Udaipur- Udaipur is well Connected to the major cities of


India by land, rail, and air.

i. Air- Maharana Pratap Airport, is a small domestic airport situated in a satellite


town about 20 kilometers from Udaipur.

ii. Rail- Udaipur city railway station and Rana Pratap Nagar railway station are two
railway stations in Udaipur.

iii. Road- The city lies on the intersection point of east west corridor , Golden
quadrilateral, National Highway (NH)76 and National Highway (NH)8, midway
between Delhi and Mumbai, located around 700 kilometers from either city.

iv. Local transport- unmetered taxis, private taxi, radio taxi, auto rickshaws, and
regular city bus services are available in the city.

Potentiality and feature Growth of Udaipur- Udaipur have three


interconnected lakes- the Fatehsagar Lake, the Lake Pichola and the smaller
swaroopSagar Lake, along with forts, Palaces, temples, gardens, mountains and
narrow lanes lines withdrawn with stalls, relives the reminisces of a heroic past, valor
and chivalry.
