Conversation 1.
You’ve just bought a kind of new
technology for the first time but you don’t
understand the instructions. Make a conversation
with a friend talking about how to use this.
A: Hello,…
B:…How are you today?
A: I’m fine. Thank you.
B: What’s wrong with the new laptop you bought yesterday?
A: Oh. I have some problems with it. I can’t understand the instructions. Can you help
me?
B: Yes, I’m happy to do this. How can I help you?
A: I'm a bit confused about how to set up my printer.
B: Go to “Settings,” then “Devices,” and select “Printers & Scanners.”
A: I got it! Do I need to add my printer there?
B: Yes! Click on “Add a printer or scanner,” and it should find your printer
automatically.
A: Okay, thanks for the tip! I feel much better about this now.
B: You’re welcome. Enjoy your new laptop!
Conversation 2. Make a conversation between an
interviewer and an interviewee. (You have applied
for the job of shop assistant. Think about answers
to any questions the interviewer might ask you
and prepare a question to ask the manager. )
Interviewee:
Good morning! I’m here for the job interview for the Shop Assistant position.
Interviewer :
Good morning! Nice to meet you. Thanks for coming in today. Can you start by
telling me a little about yourself?
Interviewee:
Sure! My name is [Your Name], and I’ve studied in [accountant, etc.]. I’ve always had
an interest in customer service, and I believe this position would be a great fit for my
skills and interests.
Interviewer:
That’s great to hear! What made you interested in applying for this position?
Interviewee:
I enjoy working with people and helping them find what they need. I also admire your
store's products and think I could contribute to creating a positive shopping experience
for customers.
Interviewer:
Could you tell me about any previous experience you have in retail or customer-facing
roles?
Interviewee:
Yes, I worked as a sales assistant at [Family Mart] for about six months, where I
helped customers with their purchases, restocked merchandise, and handled the cash
register. I also had to resolve customer complaints occasionally, which helped me
develop problem-solving and communication skills.
Interviewer:
That sounds like a valuable experience. How do you handle stressful situations,
particularly during busy periods?
Interviewee:
I stay calm and focused, prioritize tasks, and always try to keep the customer
experience as positive as possible. I also try to communicate effectively with my team
so we can work together and manage the workload.
Interviewer:
That sounds great! The last question—why do you think you’d be a great fit for our
team?
Interviewee:
I’m enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. I also believe
in making sure the store looks its best. I’m confident I can contribute to both the
customer experience and the overall success of the store.
Interviewer:
Thank you for sharing that. We’ll contact you soon with our decision. It was a
pleasure meeting you!
Interviewee:
Thank you for the opportunity to interview! I look forward to hearing from you.
