I am PANIS,JECELYN A. your registered trainer for Agricultural Crops
Production NC III. I would like to WELCOME you all for this Competency
Training.
 I already prepared the materials and the facilities for the
presentation of today’s learning session. The Projector, the white
scree and the laptop for the Power Point presentation for viewing.
 I already connected the HDMI cable to the projector.
 I already posted the Progress Chart and the Achievement Chart,
to monitor the trainee’s performance. And I already posted
Signages and tag outs.
 I also prepared the forms to determine trainee’s characteristics:
such as Attendance Sheet, Data Gathering, Self-assessment
Check and Written Test for the completeness of the resources in
this training program.
 Aside from these tools and materials, I also set-up my workshop
using the 9 Components/ Areas of a Competency-Based
Facilities.

1. Practical Work Area where the learner acquires the skills

and knowledge components of the competencies prescribed
by the standard.
2. Computer Laboratory where information technology is
used.
3. Distance Learning Area where learners can access the
instruction on and off the workshop area.
4. Quality Control Area where the output assessed in
accordance with the performance criteria.
5. Learning Resource Area or the heart of practical work area.
Or the CBLM.
6. Contextual Laboratory Area where the required
knowledge, the science, mathematics, English are provided to
the learner.
7. Training Resource Area where TR and CBC are located.
8. Institutional Assessment Area which assessing the
completion of competencies of the learner.
 9. Support Service Area which provides value adding
competencies from other qualification.

 Trainees pls proceed to the Practical Work Area for the

demonstration. Always wear your PPE, and safety precaution.
 But before that, please observe me first as I do the task…
(steps/procedures)
1. Plowing to “till” or dig-up, mix, and over tum the soil.
In plowing you will make sure that area is clear, use the shovel or
grab hoe in plowing.
2. Harrowing to break the soil clods into smaller mass and incorporate
plant residue.
In harrowing you may now use spade to clean away debris
3. Leveling the field.
In leveling you may now use rake to finish the plot by raking out any
heaps or uneven areas. When you are finished, your plot should be
level and smooth, and ready for planting.

 Now trainees it’s your turn, here is your Job Sheet, read and
practice it first for you to be guided in performing the task. I’ll be
back after 5 minutes.

The Assessment Procedure needs to be performed and evidences to be
collected in Institutional Assessment are:
Written Examination- to assist the required knowledge learned by
the trainee,
Demonstration- to measure weather the candidate has the skills
about the qualification and,
Oral Questioning. The decision will be based on the rules of
evidence and four dimensions of Competency.
