Figure 3 shows that the researchers outlined a comprehensive set of requirements essential for the development of the application
during the input stage,
which includes knowledge, software, and hardware requirements. The process stage includes the software prototyping model, followed by the output and
evaluation stages.
Application development is crucial for the study as it provides the technical foundation necessary for translating complex concepts into functional software. It
empowers developers to handle various programming languages, user interfaces, and data processing, enabling them to build efficient and user-friendly
applications.
Knowledge in UI design and development plays an important role in enhancing user interaction with the application. A well-designed user interface allows
clear navigation, intuitive controls, and effective feedback, contributing to the overall user experience and satisfaction.
Dart with Flutter is chosen for this application development due to its ability to create natively compiled applications for multiple platforms using a single
codebase. Its features such as fast performance, clean syntax, rich libraries, customizable UI, and hot reload for real-time testing make it highly efficient,
optimizing the researchers' time for further enhancements.
Figma is utilized by the researchers for the design and prototyping phases, providing a powerful platform for collaborative design work. It allows for real-time
teamwork, streamlining the visual design and ensuring the smooth integration of components into the final application.
Canva is used for designing essential graphic elements such as logos and banners, which will be incorporated into the application. Canva’s user-friendly tools
also assist in creating promotional materials, like social media posts and other visual assets to support the project.
The researchers selected Intel Core i3 processors for their development tasks to enhance the performance and testing of the application. To ensure smooth
multitasking and optimal operation, a minimum of 4 GB of RAM was recommended. Additionally, the Windows 10 64-bit operating system was chosen for its
compatibility with development tools and support for DirectX-capable GPUs, allowing efficient management of larger data sets and improved overall
performance.
For the Android version, the researchers began testing on Android versions 8.0 and above, ensuring compatibility across a range of mobile devices. The
hardware requirements outlined are specifically for the researchers’ use in development and not intended as requirements for end users.
The development process follows a structured plan, based on the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), aimed at minimizing potential issues by
planning thoroughly from the start. This ensures that the application meets its functional goals efficiently.
During the Preparation Stage, researchers conducted data gathering to align the application with strategic goals, ensuring the availability of necessary
resources, budget, and expertise.
In the Design Phase, the researchers studied existing systems to understand the needs, expectations, and limitations of the project. This phase includes
forming a framework that guides the project from initial planning to execution, ensuring the application's requirements are met.
The Prototyping Stage is crucial as it allows the researchers to test design ideas and evaluate how users will interact with the application. Feedback
gathered during this stage helps in making accurate adjustments before full-scale development begins.
The Review Phase involves evaluating the prototype, identifying defects or discrepancies, and performing various tests such as performance, unit, and
integration testing to ensure the application functions correctly.
In the Rebuilding Phase, the researchers incorporate insights from the review, addressing any issues and refining the application before the final release.
The Final Product refers to the fully developed application, meeting the study’s goals. The evaluation process is critical to ensuring the app functions
correctly and meets quality standards.
The researchers used ISO 9126 as a framework to evaluate the software post-development. This standard defines various quality characteristics and sub-
characteristics for software products, addressing both functional and non-functional aspects. As part of the ISO/IEC 25000 series, it provides a comprehensive
method for evaluating software quality.
