Write an introduction.
One of the things that has been around for centuries is technology, and today
technology has taken many different forms such as cellphones, computers, or even
books, all of which have made a tremendous impact on society in general. It is
important to mention that these devices over time have replaced things like toys,
letters, and notebooks, but they have also introduced a lot of useful tools. All of these
have made a vast majority of the human race work faster and more efficiently, and
communicate with millions of other people around the globe. These are the two main
factors that have insanely helped humanity evolve over the past decades. People are
not becoming “technological zombies” because they are realizing that it is so
inconvenient to live up to that term. The reasons for this are that the devices
themselves help develop critical thinking with the millions of opinions on the internet, it
is a great way to try and teach the future generations valuable principles, and it is
enriching to learn things online and apply them in real life to connect to reality itself.
Thanks to today’s technological devices humanity is able to learn from various
teachers and masters with different backgrounds, and put into practice one of the most
useful skills to have, critical thinking. First, as many people know, the internet is a place
where almost every person from any age can share their thoughts and opinions to
anyone on the planet. This includes teachers, philosophers, politicians, and even
monks can share what their view of the world is. As a consequence, there can be the
possibilities of having an open friendly conversation which everyone can see and learn
from. Secondly, it is very important to mention the existence of those who put posts
that are considered hateful or mean in general. This might sound like a very bad and
unpleasant fact about humanity’s biggest communication platform, but they can serve
as a reminder that putting those hateful comments is just useless and can even be
used to further develop opinions.
People are not becoming technological zombies because technology has
become a tool to teach youngsters about the dangers of being one. First, some might
say that technology has made humans, especially teenagers, oblivious or unaware of
what is happening around them, but instead of complaining about it, they should help
prevent them from becoming “technological zombies”, which some people are aware
of. In general, people think that technological devices are very useful for work or
communication, but they have realized that being completely attached to their
computers or phones is not beneficial in any aspect regarding health, especially
because it indicates obsession, which is a more psychological issue that can lead to
more severe problems. Secondly, a really beneficial fact about history is that it explains
the horrible things that have happened in the past. Things like kidnapping teenagers,
murders, or robberies have happened because people never thought that their phones
would be the main cause of the issue. As an effect to this, online security has been
developed so that parents can keep their children and themselves safe.
People are becoming more aware that there are activities online that can be
applied in real life. This means that there can be multiple ways of doing something
whether it be cooking, housework, or doing decorations. It is not a way to replace
traditional activities, but a way to preserve them and make the most use out of them. It
is also relevant to mention that it might help some people get jobs or work on their
business outside their environment or their work field. As a clear example, there is
YouTube, a very well known platform where people can advertise their products or
make money out of the videos they make.
All in all, these “technological zombies” have been a useful tool to learn and
reflect about our society in general. They have helped so much to a point where it is
safe to say that almost everyone is transitioning from zombie into a more evolved and
kind human being.
