Comprehensive Guide for Installing MT5 Robot with Presets
First, you need a VPS to install it (not mandatory, but highly recommended)
A VPS is even considered necessary if you trade with Expert Advisors (EAs) or other automated forex
trading software. Other than trading, VPS is also among the best choices for people who own a
website or business.
The purpose of using a VPS is to support 24-hour trading with lower costs. When trading with EAs,
you need to make sure that the software keeps running automatically and you also need to have a
fast internet connection as long as your trade is still open. Thus, setting up a VPS for your forex
trades can actually make a huge difference in terms of the market execution and outcome.
The vps is for rent, it is around $8 per month.. it keeps the robot online 24 hours a day. Even if the
PC or wifi is off, the robot still works in a VPS.

Once you received your VPS details in your email.
Type in windows search bar of your PC, search "Remote Desktop connection"
1- Click on “>Remote Desktop Connection.”
2- Type the IP address of your Windows 10 or 11 VPS (in your email)
3- A new window will be displayed. You will have to insert your user name and
password.
TO INSTALL THE ROBOT
1 - Download the robot files to your PC or laptop, then :
"Right-click on the ZIP file I sent you."
"From the menu that appears, select 'Extract all.'"
"Choose where you want to unzip the files."
"Click 'Extract' and wait for the process to finish."
2- Connect to your VPS.
3- Copy your MT5 software from your broker (e.g., EXNESS METATRADER 5) to the VPS, and
also copy all the robot files to the VPS desktop (Including the presets (.set file) as well ).
4- Log in to your account in METATRADER 5.
5- Click on "Tools" at the top, then select "Options," and go to the "Expert Advisors" tab.
Follow the instructions in the image below.
6- To add the THUNDER BOLT EA 3.0.ex5 , go to "File", then "Open Data Folder", "MQL5,"
then "Experts," and finally "Advisors." Paste the THUNDER BOLT EA 3.0.ex5 file here
(Advisors).
7- "Locate the preset files with the .set extension that I provided."
"Right-click on the all files."
"Choose 'Copy' from the menu."
"Navigate to your 'Documents' folder. Right-click inside the folder."
"Select 'Paste' from the menu to copy the preset files into the 'Documents' folder."
All preset files should be placed in the 'Documents' folder like the pictures bellow :
8- Take an example on a currency pair, and you can install it on all pairs as I guide you here. We will
take XAUUSD as an example.
Open the XAUUSD chart with a 6 minutes interval (M6)…
To add M6 Timeframe on MT5 :
Right-click the Timeframe menu at the top of MT5.
Select ‘Customize’ from the context menu.
In the new window, choose a timeframe (e.g., 'M6') from the left list.
Click ‘Insert’ to add it to your selected timeframes on the right.
9- Before you start, go to the "Navigator" section at the bottom of the interface. Under "Expert
Advisors," click on "Advisors." Right-click and select "Refresh."
10- Double-click on the robot THUNDERBOLT EA 4.0, which will open a settings window. In the
"Common" tab, make sure your robot settings are configured as shown in the image below.
11 - Go to the "Inputs" tab , Click on 'LOAD,' and you will see all the preset files there
"In this example, we will take XAUUSD M6 presets. Click on the preset you want, then « OPEN »
*OUVRIR = OPEN
And the inputs will open up, like in this image below. At the beginning of these inputs, enter the
'USER KEY' code sent to you by Institutional Traders
12- Click OK to close the settings window.
13 - Check the top of the interface ; "Algo Trading" should be enabled, as shown in the image. If not,
your robot might not work correctly.
14- After installation, zoom out the chart to the smallest level so that the Support and resistance
zones will be displayed on the screen.
After the supply and demand zones are displayed, you can enlarge the chart.
NB : Each pair has a preset; you can install the robot on any pair you want by using the
corresponding preset for that pair
