Uninstall MySQL on Windows
Two steps: First, uninstall MySQL. Second, remove all MySQL folders

3. left click MySQL Workbench CE and 4. similarly uninstall MySQL server
choose uninstall and MySQL installer

6. enable view hidden items

7. Now, you can find the following three MySQL folders at the
corresponding folder. Delete them. Note that V330 is my user
name. Your user name should be different.
8. Now, you can see that mysql has been removed.

Install XAMPP on windows
1. Download the installer

2. Double click the installer to install XAMPP

3. Only choose Apache Server, MySQL, PHP, phpMyAdmin

4. Start installation
If asked, uncheck public networks and check private networks

Create a folder to store your php files
1. I call it www. But it can have different name and be placed any where.
2. Copy its address as text

3. Press conf of Apache and choose [Link]
4. Find and replace the
two “C:/xampp/htdocs”
by the address of the
folder created in step 1

5. Press “Start” to start Apache and MySQL servers

How to use phpMyAdmin
(same as how to use it in Mac)
1. In a browser, open [Link]

2. Click “Databases” tab, enter “university” as database name, then press “Create”.

3. Choose “Import” tab. After choosing the file, scroll down to press “import”

4. After you press import.

5. Similarly, import the file downloaded from [Link] to populate the tables.

6. Enter queries in SQL tab. Then press go.
You can also directly click the database name to choose a database;
