We understand that…

▪ Millions of (sales) orders → Millions of transactions

▪ The modern business environment is more challenging, complex, dispersed,

technology-driven, and competitive in nature.

▪ Integration of real-world business processes (or operations) is a key to

coordinate (often to scale) and deliver value to the customers.

9
Why BPI?

▪ As more and more businesses worldwide adopt enterprise systems, it becomes

increasingly important for students to develop a more process-centric perspective
that reflects the realities of the modern business environment in which they will
work.

▪ Modern business operations and enterprise systems are tightly integrated into the
business environment; it becomes necessary for students to understand the ways in
which real-world business processes are managed and executed in an enterprise
resource planning (ERP) system.

▪ Business Process Integration (BPI): this course covers the key processes
supported by the world’s leading enterprise resource planning system, SAP ERP.

10
Course Objectives

The course objectives are to:-

▪ Describe the basic structure, processes, and concepts related to the ERP system,

▪ Understand the various steps involved in managing and executing the key

▪ Illustrate working skills to the students in the ERP environment through a case
study method and lab exercises.

11
Learning Outcomes
