Procedure
A Students can work alone or with a partner. They can use their dictionaries or the DVD-ROM.
Follow-up: Ask students to work in pairs and talk about each of the types of music in questions 1 and
3. Do they like it? Why / Why not?

B Students can work alone or with a partner. The musicians in this task are found on the DVD-ROM
only. Alternatively, the students can work in small teams and make the exercise a race to see which
team can finish first. Ask students to work in pairs to name more musicians for each category. They
can use the DVD-ROM, and press the “culture” tab to find more artists. Ask for class feedback.
Time: 5–15 minutes
