out from the library in 1823. If the fine for overdue books was 25 cents a

A dentist in Rome kept all the teeth he extracted from his patients
from 1868-1903. There were 2,000,744 teeth in his collection. What was

PIZZA PROBLEM
You are ordering pizzas for your party of 20 people (including yourself)
A large pizza has 16 slices, a medium has 14, and a small has 10.
Small pizzas cost $12 each, mediums cost $15, and large cost $20.
If you wanted 2 pieces for each person, what combination of pizzas
should you order in order to get the cheapest price?
CEREAL PROBLEM
A serving of Spartan Bran Flakes Cereal contains 90 calories. If you
add 1/2 cup of skim milk, the number of calories increases to 130. How many
calories are in a cup of skim milk?
CALORIE PROBLEM
The average calorie intake in Canada is 3330 calories per person per
day. If 4 Canadians consumed 11,250 calories in one day, how much did this
differ from the national average?
SANDWICH PROBLEM
A loaf of whole wheat bread contains 20 slices. A package of sliced
cheese contains 8 slices. How many cheese sandwiches can be made with 2
loaves of bread and 2 packages of cheese?

FISH PROBLEM
Milton wants to buy fish for his aquarium. Tiger barbs are $1.00 each,
neon tetras are 4 for $1.00, angelfish are $1.25 and silver dollars are 2 for
$1.50. If Milton wants 2 tiger barbs, 6 neon tetras, 1 angelfish and 4 silver
dollars, how much money will he need?
