INTRODUCTION:

Good afternoon, Miss Nadia Baca,

I am Ariana Calderon, and today we are presenting a project that focuses on friends
working together with the help of a psychologist to strengthen their bonds, ending with
a small gathering.

We have applied everything we’ve learned during our basic English cycles, from the
present perfect to the past participle, and many other essential topics.

Now, the members of my team will introduce themselves:

• Aranda León Kevin

• Carranza Albujar Anthony

• Esquivel Melgarejo Mateo

• Flores Muñoz Rodrigo

• Manrique Rondon Brian

Next, we will begin our project.

SCENE 1:

Ariana (psicóloga): Hi, everyone! How are you today?

Brian: I’m good, but my hair is a tornado!
Rodrigo: Tornado? I thought you were trying a new style!
Kevin: More like a cat’s nest!
Anthony: You look like a lion! Roar!
Mateo: Let’s call him “Lion Brian”! (Everyone laughs)

SCENE 2:

Ariana (psicóloga): What did you do last weekend?

Mateo: I went to the park and talked to squirrels.
Kevin: Did they talk back?
Mateo: Yes! They said, “Where’s the food?”
Rodrigo: I didn’t do much. Just wrestled with my couch!
Brian: I went to a party!
Anthony: Was it fun?
Brian: Not really; I danced with my pizza instead. (Everyone laughs)

SCENE 3:

Ariana (psicóloga): Have you tried anything new this week?

Rodrigo: I have tried a new recipe.
Kevin: Did it taste good?
Rodrigo: No! It tasted like rubber!
Mateo: I have eaten rubber! It’s very chewy!
Brian: I have never eaten rubber. I just eat pizza!
Anthony: You should try rubber pizza! (Everyone laughs)

SCENE 4:

Ariana (psicóloga): Who is the funniest in the group?

Anthony: I am the funniest!
Brian: No way! I’m way funnier!
Rodrigo: Cats are the funniest!
Kevin: My cat tells the best jokes, but only to me!
Mateo: So, cats are funnier than us?
Ariana (psicóloga): Yes! Let’s hire a cat comedian! (Everyone laughs)

SCENE 5:

Ariana (psicóloga): What did you like or didn’t like last week?
Kevin: I didn’t like my math homework; it was like a horror movie!
Mateo: I liked the pizza I ate. It was a masterpiece!
Rodrigo: I didn’t eat pizza; I ate my shoes!
Brian: Did you enjoy that?
Rodrigo: No! My shoes tasted terrible!
Anthony: Next time, just order pizza!

SCENE 6:

Ariana (psicóloga): What is your dream job?

Brian: I want to be a comedian and tell jokes!
Mateo: I want to be a professional napper!
Kevin: I want to be a cat trainer!
Rodrigo: I want to be a chef, but I need a fire extinguisher!
Anthony: What will you cook?
Rodrigo: Only rubber pizza! (Everyone laughs)

SCENE 7:

Ariana (psicóloga): What will you do next week?

Rodrigo: I will try cooking again!
Kevin: I will take my cat to the vet!
Brian: I will tell more jokes, especially about shoes!
Mateo: I will take a nap!
Anthony: I will plan my superhero outfit, with pizza powers!
Ariana (psicóloga): Sounds like a superhero week!

SCENE 8:

Ariana (psicóloga): What do you do every day?

Mateo: I take a nap every day; it’s my superpower!
Kevin: I watch my cat every day; he’s a reality show!
Rodrigo: I try to cook every day, but it’s more like a science experiment.
Brian: I eat pizza every day; I’m a pizza scientist!
Anthony: I don’t do anything special, just wait for pizza!
Ariana (psicóloga): Waiting for pizza is a great hobby!

SCENE 9:

Ariana (psicóloga): What do you think about life?

Kevin: Life is like a cat: mysterious and full of surprises!
Rodrigo: Or like a pizza: sometimes cheesy, but always delicious!
Mateo: And sometimes it makes you feel bloated!
Brian: I like my life like my pizza: hot and with extra toppings!
Anthony: Just no pineapple, please! (Everyone laughs)

SCENE 10:

Ariana (psicóloga): Any last thoughts before we finish?

Brian: I think we should have a pizza party!
Rodrigo: Yes! But no burnt pizza!
Kevin: And my cat can join!
Mateo: I’ll bring my nap blanket, the secret ingredient!
Anthony: I’ll bring the superhero costume!
Ariana (psicóloga): Perfect! See you all next week for the pizza party!

SCENE 11:

Ariana (psicóloga): What should we bring to the party?

Brian: I’ll bring pizza! Everyone loves pizza, right?
Rodrigo: Good idea! But should we use reusable cups? They’re more useful and better
for the environment.
Anthony: Yes! We shouldn’t use plastic cups. Reusable is always better.
Kevin: I agree! Reusable cups are more useful. I’ll bring fruit, it’s healthier than chips.
Mateo: Healthy? Fruit is okay, but chips and cookies are tastier! We need fun food too.
Ariana (psicóloga): We’ll need both. Did anyone remember napkins?
Rodrigo: I can bring them! And maybe reusable plates too? We’ve used plastic before,
but reusable ones are better.
Brian: I’ve already ordered extra pizza, so we won’t run out.
Kevin: If we run out of food, maybe we can eat the plates! (laughs)
Mateo: As long as they’re not too hard to bite! (Everyone laughs)
Ariana (psicóloga): Let’s just make sure to clean up after. It’s going to be a great party!

SCENE 12:

Ariana (psicóloga): Hi, everyone! I’m glad you all came!

Brian: Pizza is here, and it smells amazing!
Rodrigo: Wait, before we eat, let’s use the reusable cups and plates like we planned.
Kevin: I brought fruit salad, it’s healthier than anything else on the table.
Mateo: Well, I’ve got chips and cookies. They’re crunchier and way more fun to eat!
Anthony: Okay, before we eat, I’ve got a joke.
Ariana (psicóloga): Sure, Anthony. What is it?
Anthony: Why don’t pizzas tell jokes?
Brian: Because they’re too cheesy! (Everyone laughs)
Kevin: Even your joke is cheesier than the pizza! (More laughter)
Ariana (psicóloga): Alright, let’s eat now! We shouldn’t waste any food.
Rodrigo: Yeah, no wasting like last time!
Mateo: Don’t worry, I’ll eat all the cookies before anyone else can! (Everyone laughs)
Ariana (psicóloga): Just make sure we clean up after. Let’s have fun!

CONCLUSION

As a team, we have successfully applied everything we learned in this

cycle. For example, we have used the present perfect to talk about
our experiences, such as how we have improved our English skills. We
also used the past simple to share what we did during our classes and
how we didn’t let challenges stop us.
In our project, we incorporated comparative and superlative
adjectives to compare different ideas and options. For instance, we
discussed which activities were more enjoyable than others, and
which ones were the most fun.

We want to thank you for your attention and the opportunity to

present our work. Have a great day!
